Howard the psychologist: Howard: Why do you think you didn't cry when your mother and father died? IceT: I don't know Howard. But I cried like a baby when my dog died. Howard: I think I know why. You were treated like dog after your parents died. So you identified with the dog. It was like you had died.

Did Howard actually say that? That's moronic.

Yes he did. Exactly like that. He modified it a little after that noting that they both had deceased bulldogs that they were devoted to and may actually have cried because they loved the dogs. You may recall that Howard once said "Bianca taught me how to love" thereby throwing his three daughters under the bus.

This brings up something I may have previously griped about. Howard treating his courtship & marriage to Beth as the 1st time he's ever experienced love, companionship, desire, pride, or lust. It's downright disgraceful that he treats his 1st marriage as if it never happened, when he has 3 grown kids from it, plus he chronicled his 1st marriage in a freakin' movie, for god's sake.

He's pulling the same shit now with the dog. If his 3 kids, 2 marriages, 2 parents, or 1 sibling didn't teach him how to love, then there's no hope for him. I should also add the coworkers, with whom he's had a 40 year relationship.

That's the first "Rule of Howard." Once you're done...you're done.

Ask Billy, Jackie, Artie, Cabbie, AJ, John...
(Cabbie turned into a hater, but wasn't he turned away from Howard's circle because he had sex on Howard's console or something like that??)

I tend to agree. It's the sign of being immature, romanticizing the current relationship. Incidentally, the movie was also him romanticizing the "current" relationship.

It's funny. He's been in therapy for twenty years. I don't doubt that it helped him after a couple of years, but he's definitely stagnated for a long time.

Cabbie snuck a porn film crew onto the Howard WXRK set and filmed a movie. As I recall, the O.J. mask was defiled.

I was just reading some old MarksFriggin stuff. I can't believe I used to read that stuff every day. When I got behind, I'd read it all over the weekend or when I could. Anyway, I saw the names Zolar, Jim Florentine and Chaunce Hayden and that really took me back.

My neighborhood's 4th of July parade is completely untraditional and wacky. It's a big parody of pop culture and current events...sort of like SNL stuff.

Anyway, this year, it had a Richard Simmons impersonator who even lead a bunch of people in exercise.

Good times, indeed.

On today's replays, we heard Wolfie putting in an appearance at the "Free Your Mind Convention."

These people are nuts! Zionist Jews control the media, the Holocaust was fake, Sandy Hook was a ploy on gun control...

Howard spent about 45 minutes on Tuesday and another half-hour on Wednesday talking about the guy who voices Kermit the Frog. I get it: Howard thinks he made a stupid move; OK, next. This should've been no more than a 30 second Robin's News item. There's got to be some psychological explanation for Howard's prolonged rant. And nobody disagreed with him, but he still kept going on and on.

Charlize Theron: ... so I went to New York to join a ballet company. I danced until my knees gave out and I had to quit. I was tall and there was too much weight on my knees. It was really the low point for me.
Howard: Do you think your knees giving out was an act of self-sabotage?

WTF?

I missed his comment, but that's classic "Howard reaching for anything". Honestly, if a guest told their life story like "so this happened, and then this happened, so I did this", the interview would be over in 15 minutes, not 1 1/2 hours.

Remember, Howard believes in the mind body connection. To him, ALL PAIN is a mental defect expressing itself as a physical problem.

While I believe in the mind's ability to do this, I also believe that most of the time, physical pain is the result of a physical problem.

Oh the humanity! Where to begin. His eyebrows are drooping, no? He is so proud of the dark hair yet he is sporting the unshaven look (better on a younger man) with white whiskers! Not a good look. The T-Shirt (also better on younger man) with that Adam's apple is not a good idea. Maybe it was too hot for a cover-up Ralph scarf, but something with a collar would have helped.. maybe.
