I should get an award for hanging through that whole interview, just so I could confirm that none of those topics were even approached. Most of it was about the stand-up TV show, and stand-up comedians, and his stand-up career.

I hardly get to listen to the end of the show, but I did one time and it seemed like there were about two plugs. Then again, with Jackie and Artie being things of the past, what is there to plug? Benji's Dial-A-Dancer went away a long time ago, as did the Block Party and everything else. A celebrity would get enough plugs during that segment.
 
interesting tommy from malden segment. i would prefer howard engage with and embrace regular callers who bash him. the written bits bashing him are kinda funny but it's always better when it's real and that won't happen much if howard threatens to ban anyone who fucks with him.

but i'm not really upset about that. what i want to talk about is that the stern team is aware of what goes on on message boards. tommy got banned for talking shit on a message board so as i see it that either means that his staff looks at the boards or some fan called and tipped them off. either way, that's neat. my guess is tommy was on the dawg shed since that seems to be the most popular stern related board since SFN died. if the team does check the boards i wonder if they ever find their way over to DRC.

I think I may be nearing the end of my fandom. I'm now a middle-aged man, married with children, always sleep-deprived, and still obsessed with R-RATED humor and titillation.

I need 1990s Howard more than ever. This isn't it.

I have a Starmate Replay 2, I think, with a lifetime subscription. The power cable went bad last year. I bought a replacement. Now, I think the antennae cable is going bad. It says "antennae not connected" every other day or so for a few seconds when it should be fine.

If I suffer a hardware glitch, I think I might just give up.

Howard is so excited about the Guns and Roses concert for Sirius. At the time it was released, day, I thought Appetite for Destruction was the best rock album ever. I may still feel that way. But Use Your Illusions was a jumping the shark event, in my opinion, and Axl Rose became grotesque after the band split up. Has GnR had any hits in the last 15 years?

I'm not speaking to GNR, but I'm am a die-hard AC/DC fan. I saw them in D.C. last year because due to Brian Johnson's ears and Cliff Williams leaving, I figured it might be my only chance.

I was VERY skeptical of Axl fronting them. I cannot speak how highly skeptical I was, it was that high.

To his credit, Axl was great! He even did a better job singing the Bon Scott songs than Brian, and part of me doesn't like admitting that.

I think Axl is a different guy than he was twenty years ago. He seems like a dedicated, hard worker now.
