Test Your ISP Speed

Meeeh, I just have crummy charter cable internet, but its usually much faster than this. . . I'm thinking broadcasting 2 cams and making skype calls during the speed test didn't help. Being on Wireless might have done a bit of damage also, but I certainly don't get speeds like a lot of you folks in here regardless. I'm jealous

Re-did mine with a few less things downloading in the background, it came out a bit nicer,
4954 down, 477 up. Still nothing special compared to others. ;)

Sprint Mobile Broadband

Signal is a little weak where I am now (middle of nowhere, Florida). My downloads max at 1.5Mb and uploads around 384k (bursts up to 512k) when I have full reception.

Fastest I ever had was 15/2 Mb with BrightHouse/Roadrunner many months ago. Sorry but those results have long disappeared.

My results from Lawton, OK

Apparently Fidelity gets their bandwidth from SBC. But what can you expect from a rinky dink cable company that has been through three different owners in the last 4 or 5 years.

OK I will repost (again)

What are you doing to get that fast of a connection? I have highest speed from Cox cable and it seems fast to me and have done stuff to my computer to make it fast, but my numbers still seem low!

I can already tell you what my speed is:

1 Mbps down / 384 Kbps up

... for $80/month

Welcome to Alaska.

Anchorage speeds are much better 4Mbps down and 700 kbps upload, and for 33 bucks a month(GCI). Kodiak is very spendy!! That's why half the state lives in Anchorage...:p
