Here's my upgraded internet. We just switched from 20 down & 20 up to 25 down and 15 up. FiOS rules.

I just switched from my local ISP who I've been with since 1995 and went from dial-up to DSL and was getting approx 2.5 down and 0.6 up. I am now on the second cheapest package from my local cable company.

Just added my refurb Airport Express (I have it set up for wireless n only, 5 GHz) and shut off my FiOS wireless (where i was getting 20/20 wirelessly).



I am still paying for 20 up and 20 down. This is just as fast as if I was wired.

Holy shit who knew my connection was so fast?!?! Make sure you don't have a hub that's a 10M. I had one connected and it brought the speed down to 5MB down and 6MB up.

I HAD been getting ~ 30Mb/s "Down" until I recently replaced my DOCSIS 2.0 Motorola SB5100 with a DOCSIS 3.0 Motorola SB6120. Comcast is DOCSIS 3.0 in my area for no extra cost so why not, right?

It's called "Ultra". I pay $62.95/month. I should say my employer pays for it, not me. The key component is the DOCSIS 3.0 modem.
