I'm surprised IRBS hasn't weighed in.
I have actually never heard of them. When they formed in the late 90s I was listening to alternative or mainstream alternative and I then sort of went to 70s/80s after that. These guys never made my radar. From the video you posted they are ok but doesn't grab me.

I figured if they were one of the biggest selling bands in Canada, you'd know them, that's all.

A Canadian blogger claims they are the #119th biggest selling act in Canada.

116 Bachman-Turner Overdrive
117 Big Wreck
118 Steppenwolf
119 The Trews
120 Leahy
121 Corb Lund/Corb Lund Band
122 Delerium
BTO is 116? Seriously? It should be much higher.

Interestingly I have heard of 116-118. Nothing 119 or below. So maybe 119 is my knowledge cutoff point. :)

So if BTO is #116, who's #1? (please don't let it be Nickelback!)

I would have guessed The Tragically Hip as #1. Maybe he is counting French votes in English and French to get Dion up there.

Top selling artists in Canada I've never heard of, or have barely heard of:

7 Diana Krall
14 Blue Rodeo
16 Great Big Sea
17 Johnny Reid
19 Francois Perusse
21 Jann Arden
23 Amanda Marshall
24 Isabelle Boulay

Are some of these artists kinda like this?

"Last year, one million four hundred thousand TV viewers ordered this man's albums and tapes...."

Great Big Sea is from Newfoundland. Famous for their remake of the REM song about 2020:

Blue Rodeo is like the laid back Canadian Wilco. Also took a liking to this artist for a while:
