Political Talk Forum

There's always the no-holds-barred political forum on that *other* site – if you don't mind a few certain people quoting and then altering your posts, calling you childish demeaning names and spewing profanity-laced insults and accusations. These same people then claim to have no idea why others won't discuss political issues with them.
Most of the other forums/sites I'm on have a politics forum that allows a large degree of all that stuff. The main difference is that they're all large, worldwide sites, with thousands of members. We have about a dozen active members, so you can't apply those rules to us. Besides, if you're trying to win-over 2 people, is it worth it?

Here is an interesting little tidbit for those of you who enjoy biting tids. Both these men were born in Russia, both men made big contributions to the Trump campaign and both men aided Giuliani's efforts to pressure Ukraine into investigating Trump's potential political opponent.

"Look, I hate immigrants, okay? I don't care if they're legal or illegal. I do not want them in America. My grandfather coming here was okay, though. I promised my loyal supporters a Wall and I intend to build it, no matter What it Takes. Many news outlets say a Wall is unnecessary. They say it will be too expensive and will not stop the influx of immigrants. They're lying. They're Fake News! They are the enemy of America. I will build the Wall and every 100 feet there will be an Engraved Plaqus with my Name on it. Future Generations will see the Wall and know that I, the Greatest President who ever lived, was responsible. Oh, and Mexico will pay for it."

Hillary!!!?! Not her again. I'm sure one day there will be a female president. I think she had enough chances by now.

I would be shocked if she subjected herself to that again. I wouldn't think that the DNC would want to risk the next election on a rerun again either.

Hillary has said many times she will not run again. Kamala Harris has little support, even in her home state of California. Many voters consider Elizabeth Warren to be too liberal – but she had a great line last night during a CNN forum. When asked how she would respond to someone who says marriage should be between one man and one woman, she replied, "I'm going to assume it's a guy who said that. I'll say then just marry one woman. I'm cool with that – assuming you can find one."

Hillary won the popular vote in 2016 but lost in the 18th-century relic known as the Electoral College, which, five times now, has given the Presidency to a loser. Someday we will elect a female President. Will it be in 2020? Will it be Warren? Her chances would improve if Biden agreed to be her running mate. Or.....Biden could continue his Presidential bid with Warren as his running mate. Looking ahead to 2024 and 2028, could Kirsten Gillibrand, Jan Brewer, Nikki Haley, Tammy Duckworth, Marsha Blackburn, Ann Richards, Amy Klobuchar or Lisa Murkowski have a good chance of winning the White House?

What woman would be a good President? Or, by asking that question, am I asking for trouble?
