Here is an open letter to President Trump from political columnist and former CNN correspondent Frida Ghitis. As is my policy – at least on this site now – I make no comments, offer no opinions and take no sides. I'm protecting myself by being a mugwump.

Dr. Doom is running on a ticket with Canadian tv character Ruby Gloom. However, I think they could have picked a better slogan than "Vote for Doom & Gloom."

There's always the no-holds-barred political forum on that *other* site – if you don't mind a few certain people quoting and then altering your posts, calling you childish demeaning names and spewing profanity-laced insults and accusations. These same people then claim to have no idea why others won't discuss political issues with them.

DRC's site is much friendlier. We can talk about politics as long as we don't talk about politics. ;)

I used to frequently remind those nasty schmucks that the forum is for the discussion of political issues, not for attacking other posters with whom they disagree. I gave up. There is also one man who likes to post pictures of a crying baby, but he – the man, not the baby – hasn't posted anything for several months. That's fine with me!
