Mister scotch said Trump's base "gets a kick" out of what Trump says and does. That probably includes this video, too – but I consider it to be shocking, outrageous and an invitation to violence:

What is the point of this story if they don't play the video?

Here is the latest from the DRC "They Have Something To Hide" news desk: Jon Sale, Rudy Giuliani's attorney, has sent a letter to House impeachment investigators informing them that Giuliani will not be providing subpoenaed documents. The Office of Management & Budget also is refusing to provide subpoenaed documents. Hmmm.

I'm discouraged by the fact that they can ignore subpoenas and not get arrested. If I don't roll down my window at a traffic stop, I end up shaking hands with my back turned to the cop.

The majority of the 55 delegates at the 1787 Constitutional Convention viewed impeachment as a political issue, not a judicial issue. The House has "sole power" to impeach and the Senate has "sole power" to try impeachment cases. The Supreme Court ruled in Nixon vs the United States (1993) that the impeachment process is not subject to judicial review or judicial action. James Madison likely never imagined that White House officials would ignore subpoenas issued in an impeachment inquiry. I agree with Mister Hectic: All who fail to comply with a subpoena should be arrested. Throw them in prison and send in a guard to threaten them: "Ve haff vays of making you talk!"

Did you know the intelligence agency whistleblower works for Biden, only 25% of Americans support impeachment and our military had no ammunition in 2017? No? Oh golly gee, maybe those things aren't true.

Here is an update from the DRC "They All Have Something To Hide" news desk:

Mike Pence, Rudy Giuliani, Pentagon won’t cooperate in House impeachment inquiry
"The evidence of obstruction of Congress continues to build," said Democratic Representative Adam Schiff, one of the leaders of the impeachment effort.

Toto, I have a feeling Rudy Giuliani won't be Donald Trump's attorney for much longer.

Did anybody even know the name of Barrack Obama's attorney? Or Bush's? Or Clinton's? I find it unique we know Trump's lawyers name.

Clinton's White House attorney was Gregory Craig, who led Clinton's legal team during the impeachment proceedings. Craig also served in the Obama White House for one year. In April 2019, Craig was indicted on charges of conspiracy and collusion for doing paid political work for Ukraine and concealing it from the federal government. He faced ten years in prison but wound up being acquitted because he had done his lobbying work in 2012 and the statute of limitations had run out.

Now let's hear the real deal from Neal:

Donald Trump's plan to stonewall impeachment will see him go 'down in flames' like Richard Nixon, says Supreme Court lawyer Neal Katyal

Yes, Mulvaney actually told the truth to reporters. He admitted there was indeed a quid pro quo: Trump held up military aid and pressured Ukraine to investigate his opponents. Mulvaney said, "Get over it. There's going to be political influence in foreign policy. It's not illegal. It's not impeachable." CNN's Sunlen Serfaty said Mulvaney "co-signed Trump's confession." Trump's legal team is reported to be "stunned" by Mulvaney's announcement. Adam Schiff said Trump's troubles "have gone from bad to much, much worse."

So what did Mulvaney do next? He issued a statement saying, "Let me be clear: there was absolutely no quid pro quo." Yes, after telling the truth and admitting there was a quid pro quo, he's now lying and saying there wasn't.

Meanwhile, William McRaven, a retired Navy Admiral who fought in three wars and led six commands, said Trump has "embarrassed us, humiliated us on the world stage and divided us as a nation." Trump's response, which proved the Admiral's point, was to call McRaven a "Hillary Clinton fan" and "Obama backer" and mock him for not getting bin Laden sooner.

There is speculation that Mick Mulvaney's denial of a quid pro quo after he said there was a quid pro quo was written for him by White House lawyers. Now let's see what CNN's Stephen Collinson and Vox.com's Aaron Rupar have written:

President Trump ignores the First Amendment and continually calls reporters "dishonest" and denounces the news media as "fake news" and "the enemy of the American people." He's now threatening to sue CNN for "biased reporting practices" unless the network makes a "substantial payment of damages" to him. Really?
