We've got gas lines! I always have Shell gas cards because Publix sells $50 cards for $40 if you buy some food with it. I went to fill up my Dad's tank at one shell...no gas at all. I go to the next Shell and there are long lines coming out of each side. Took about half an hour to get my turn. Now there is a nice full tank for cooling down in the a/c and charging various devices if the power goes out for any extended period.

I remember gas lines from 1979. Good times.

Just bought some AAA batteries and a usb rechargeable fan. I need the batteries for my flashlights, my 2 bike lights serve as perfectly good flashlights when not on the bike, and the fan can be recharged in the car. Thanks to prime both will be here on Thursday, leaving plenty of time before the storm will hit. And if the storm misses me batteries are always good to have and I'll use the fan in the van as part of my minivan camper project.

I hear ya. The NOAA charts updates every 3 hours. I check it every 3 hours.

6 hours later and we have a northerly turn in the track. Looks like FL is right in the middle of the cone now so they are expecting a direct hit. Good news for me is that it will have to go through both Miami And Ft. Laud before getting to Boca and going over all that land is bound to slow it down a bit.

11 am update has the FL track moving east. If it continues east that would be good, the further off the coast the better. But if it stays like it is now, or moves just slightly east it will still be bad news for Boca.
