Private is private. You would hope that they would have explained the rules to their staff, but if the parents paying the tuition have expectations, it's for the school to decide no matter how backwards it is.

Show me another example, in the history of the US, where a governor of a state legislated school curriculum. A governor's job is budget and public safety. Anything else is political grandstanding.
And one could argue that out of control public school boards are becoming a public safety issue and thus the intervention.

This makes zero sense. But more importantly, the school boards aren't doing anything. This was started by legislators.

No. Before this bill and now, any sort of health type class in FL public schools don't start unit at least 4th grade. This legislation is simply clarifying that.

In Canada, the curriculum is controlled at the provincial (state) level. The Feds give "transfer payments" to the provinces to fund the schools but they are run by the provinces.
