As much as I disagree with censoring people who have real-world viewpoints, it's a private Christian school, so they should be allowed to make-up whatever nutty rules they want. I mean, they're probably teaching creationism, right?
This is my viewpoint as well assuming they receive absolutely 0 public funds or subsidies.

Private is private. You would hope that they would have explained the rules to their staff, but if the parents paying the tuition have expectations, it's for the school to decide no matter how backwards it is.

How about I show up at that Christian school and dressed up like this?

With this song blasting in the background. It has great lyrics.

"If you're horny let's do it
Ride it, my pony
My saddle's waiting
Come and jump on it"

He's doing it purely to elevate his national presence, because it's completely outside the realm of a state governor's role.

He can just say he's married if it ever comes up, which it probably won't. Kindergarteners don't need extensive details about anything,

Dude needs to calm down.

How is it outside the realm of a state legislature and governor to make decisions about their state run schools?

But I do agree it is also helping his 2024 run...assuming Donald doesn't give it another go and clear the field.

Show me another example, in the history of the US, where a governor of a state legislated school curriculum. A governor's job is budget and public safety. Anything else is political grandstanding.

Agreed. Also a certain group likes to say they're all for limited smaller government, yet they feel the need to pass unneeded legislation like this.

And one could argue that out of control public school boards are becoming a public safety issue
This makes zero sense. But more importantly, the school boards aren't doing anything. This was started by legislators.
And it's not really curriculum.
How is it not curriculum? They're literally telling teachers what they can say and teach, and what school books can contain.

No. Before this bill and now, any sort of health type class in FL public schools don't start unit at least 4th grade. This legislation is simply clarifying that.

In Canada, the curriculum is controlled at the provincial (state) level. The Feds give "transfer payments" to the provinces to fund the schools but they are run by the provinces.

I would assume that the US would have a similar system. The federal government can't possibly control all those schools.

You know it's not "simply" doing that. Not sure why you're going into a Memebag vortex on this.
