Hey if California gets wiped out, then Arizona finally has some ocean front property.

Maybe it will be more like a Wile E Coyote cartoon where he saws off California while standing on the Nevada side, then the rest of America falls off into the ocean with him on it while California just floats there.
So my boss...who is a lesbian w/a wife and 2 kids...drilled a screw into this gate thing at work and said, "I feel like a gold star" after she managed to get it done cause she's more of a traditional feminine woman and was proud of her handiwork. So seeing how I'm well versed in lesbian lingo thanks to Howard I said, "Hmm...doesn't gold star mean something very different than that?"
She got a solid chuckle out of my quip.
Perhaps totally inappropriate for both work and social interaction, but it worked out for me in this case.

I caught Howard's conversation about gold star a while ago too. The other guitarist in my band is a gold star, so I've been able to bring it up a couple times in conversation light-heartedly and look like I know something about something.
In related news, one of her friends came to our show last January and liked our energy on stage. She asked my guitarist if we'd be willing to play an all-lesbian camping weekend out in western Massachusetts. After talking about it for a few minutes, and all agreeing we'd like to do it, I nicknamed the event "No-Wood Stock".
