Not opinion. The law restricts topics that can be discussed or contained in the curriculum, whether in books or lesson plans. That's a fact, and it's at the crux of the debate. But somehow, you claim it's not in the law. Hence the vortex.

Gender and sexual orientation materials weren't in any public k-3 curriculum to begin with.
It has an "as age appropriate" clause that can be applied to any grade they want. And any discussions about any non-traditional family structure - even by the students - can result in a lawsuit.
I'm at a loss to understand the root of your claim, that this is a benign law that has no effect. The sponsors of the bill and the governor say otherwise. Just read their own statements; they purport a litany of homophobic "indoctrination" activities occurring today, that will be rectified by this law.
"Gentlemen, start your lawsuits."

I can't believe we are debating his stupid logic, but discriminating against being white would also be wrong because nobody can choose to be white. He strangely thinks sexual orientation is a free choice. And that is how he is differentiating who gets civil rights and who doesn't.
I'm not advocating for this, I'm saying that his logic leads to this conclusion. And ironically, his supporters are nearly all white.

Ok. I am not either but I don't think it lead there since being white is no more a choice than being black and by his logic that would mean they would be entitled to civil rights. But I am not going to start a memebag vortex on this. He is not worth the time.
He does seem to be opportunistic though and not really tied to his ideals. He was a Democrat before he decided to run for house Trump Republican. So I have a feeling that everything out of his mouth is designed to give him exposure and little more.
Yes, we've wasted too much time on this. The guy said blacks deserve civil rights, because of slavery and discrimination. Whites don't need the same protections. And gays are discriminated, but can change, so they don't deserve civil rights.
