I like Dr. Pepper, and I like blackberry. We usually have a sleeve of diet DP in the fridge, which I go through very slowly. I should try a can of the blackberry before I go all-in.

More than 575,000 people took part in Condé Nast Traveler's 37th annual Readers Choice Awards survey in October 2024. One of the categories was "The best food cities in the U.S." New Orleans ranked second. What city was number one? Oh, the suspense! And it's a city I doubt anyone, including myself, would have guessed.

I haven’t been to every other city in the world to compare, but New Orleans food reputation is richly deserved.
I've been saying it for years.
I'd go back to New Orleans tonight for dinner if I could.

We had a lot of great food there.

It's funny that New York and Chicago didn't make the list.

I wouldn't have guessed!

I wouldn't have guessed that Columbus would have rated so high either.

My two favorite steak-houses in the country are in Chicago and Detroit.
Detroit's resurgence over the last 15 years or so has been amazing to watch.

Who here has ever had a crawfish besides Aaron? I haven't but I definitely want to.

They look delicious (and not to be mean Aaron but low-class lobsters) and I really want to partake in a crawfish boil at some point.

I've definitely had it a few times. Probably vacationing in Florida and the keys, or the Bahamas. I may have had it in Cajun dishes elsewhere (such as Huntsville AL), but I can't recall specifics. But mostly, it was crawfish meat, and not the whole thing, like we have with lobster.

If I had to guess:
Hectic, Madison, and JHDK would want to try that.
Scotch and 98 would be indifferent.
IRBS, sadchild, and Wolf would not want to try that.
Not sure about Jon.

I work with people who could send it to me if I asked. I like some middle eastern food, but I'm not sure about this.

I would never buy Dubai chocolate. I prefer cheaper brands – although last month Hershey announced it will be raising prices on its candy due to the rising cost of cocoa and sugar.
