You're asleep at 11:50PM?
Hell fuckin' yes! I'm in bed by 10. I'm up at 6.
I fall asleep by 1AM usually and alarm goes off at 6:40AM on weekday.
I would not do well on 5 ½ hours of sleep every night.
We try to get 7 hours of sleep a night, so why stay up later?
Bingo. I shoot for 8 and usually get 7 - 7½. plus, if shit happens (like the night I woke to raindrops falling on my window sill INSIDE my room, for example), I can still hope for 6.

I used to thrive on 5 hours of sleep, but it seems to be that I'm only getting 4 to 4-1/2.
As I'm getting old(er) I find that if I can get 6, It's pretty decent. If I could convince myself to get 7 on a typical weeknight, I'd be in great shape.

I’m at around 6 hours on week nights and 8 to 9 on weekends
This was me for a while but it was taking a toll on me. I wasn't fully rested most nights. Now that I have a CPAP I sleep better. Not only am I not waking myself up, but my wife doesn't wake me up 24 times "you're snoring" or "you keep twitching" etc etc etc

I really like Coca-Cola Spiced. I will buy a few 12-packs while it's still available.

Quote: "the company is growing its Topo Chico water line and expanding its BodyArmor brand."

The Coca-Cola Company needs better names for its products. BodyArmor sounds like a brand of deodorant – and Topo Chico makes me think of Topo Gigio from The Ed Sullivan Show.

I really liked Dark Berry Dr Pepper. It was available in summer 2019 as a "limited edition" to help promote the Spider-Man: Far From Home movie. Due to popular demand – or maybe just due to corporate greed – Dr Pepper brought it back in summer 2022 to help promote Jurassic World Dominion. I wish this would be a permanent flavor.

I went to our local Ralphs market today – and Coca-Cola Spiced is already gone. I'm guessing a lot of people bought it immediately after hearing it was being discontinued. Several people are offering cans and bottles of Coca-Cola Spiced on eBay. Here is one listing that I doubt anyone will be interested in. I'm not sure I even understand it. "Unopened" and "1/3 filled"?

3 unopened 1/3 filled Cola cans, 2024 Spiced Cola (Dune edition) with box
US $7,500.00 or best offer

It’s amazing the role that temperature plays in food. They had a catered meal at work today for the holidays, from a good local place. Well, today’s food was a disappointment. After a minute you realize it’s not bad or un-tasty…. it’s just room temperature. Found out later they were having issues with those burners that keep the fancy things heated. Ugggh.

For many years, we all went to the cafeteria for lunch everyday. And I used to have a saying: "If they can't make it good, it can at least be hot!"

The Tasting Table website declared Tony Packo's chili with beans to be the best canned chili in the whole world. Tony Packo's is a Hungarian-American restaurant in Toledo. Mister Hectic, have you ever eaten there? And, if so, have you tried their chili? And can you send a can of their chili to each of us? Thank you.

My favorite chili was Phyllis Diller's Chili. It was made from her own recipe and contained no sugar, preservatives or filler. The label proclaimed, "It took Diller to remove the filler." It was introduced in 1987 but the company had difficulty finding distributors to get it to the markets and went out of business in 1991. Phyllis Diller (real name: Phyllis Driver) died in 2012 at age 95.

Laurie Ayres of Michigan began doing stand-up comedy in 1985. In 2023, after several friends told her she looked like Phyllis Diller, she became a Phyllis Diller impersonator. I wonder if I could talk her into reviving Phyllis Diller chili.
