Remember all that crap you posted in January about your weather? This is payback.
Not me living in Sun City with my expression.

I bought a new toy for work:

I think the most likely explanation for this thing is witchcraft but the internet says it's the Peltier effect. Some French nerd figured out in 1834 that you can make a temperature difference by applying an electric current between 2 different conductors.

So somehow these fucking aluminium alloy plates, when charged with a current, take heat from hot side to the other and somehow that makes the original side cold. It really gets the neck very chill.

This Peltier guy should have probably been burnt alive for black magic but it works and it's awesome. The plates keep my neck cold and it has 4 regular fans. Two for the sides of the face and one going up the back of the head and the other going down the bottom of the neck.

I saw it advertised on a YouTube channel I watch and didn't think it could be real so I decided to try it fully expecting to return it. They call it a personal A/C which is a bit misleading cause there is no air cooling. It's those cooling plates and the fans. I was happily surprised to get it and discover it works so well.

This thing is so nice to use while doing my out of office work. I look like a super dork but I don't care.

There are 2 forecasts out. One says hot and miserable all week. The other says releif on Wednesday.

What channel do you trust more?

I'm a loyal WFOR-TV 4, CBS Miami local affiliate guy.

If anyone other than Lissette Gonzalez tries to tell me the weather forecast I will descend into a violent fit of rage.

This past 3 days, we had a great visit with our cousins from Long Island (they also have the Vermont compound). And the weather cooperated. On Friday, we walked Long Sands beach, then had lobster dinners at a wharf restaurant on Kittery Point. On Saturday, we walked Marginal way in Ogunquit (to Perkins Cove and back) in the morning. Then in the afternoon they got to see our Seacoast Wind Ensemble play a concert on a lawn in Kennebunkport, followed by another seafood dinner.

On Sunday afternoon, they joined us on York Harbor beach, following the morning rain. They had planned to head out, but traffic was heavy, so they decided to delay their drive home. The temp shot up to 91, and on the beach, the wind kept changing direction. One minute we had a land breeze, the next was off the 53 degree ocean. This continued for most of the time we were there. Eventually, the strong sun won out. It was bizarre to have the wind direction change so often. Usually it shifts once, and that's it.
