Concerts you have attended?

On local radio station they were giving away tickets for "Ringo Starr & His All Starr Band" @ Massey Hall here in Toronto in September. Once tickets are available, and are reasonable, my wife and I will likely see him again. We liked the show and we like Massey Hall.

This was last night. I am not a country fan -- this was my wife's concert but I did enjoy it. They sang lots of good although unfamiliar music. I said they since it was with Little Big Town. The show opened with The Cadillac 3. They were a country band trying to sound rock. It didn't work. It would have helped if they learned to play the guitar. I honestly think I could have matched that sound with about 3 days of training (and I have never picked up a guitar in my life). Little Big Town was good. And Miranda was fabulous. Little Big Town came back for the last 8 songs + encore songs and they did them together.

These were great shows. Bill Engvall was funny as hell. I have never really heard of him but I am glad I went.

Mellisa Ethridge was also wonderful. She plays a mean guitar and still has that big voice. This was one of my wife's bucket list concerts. We both enjoyed it. And I won $20 at the casino that night. I actually won $50 but spent $30 trying to win more.

Updated concert list.

Melissa Etheridge is definitely on my list if she's ever in town again. Liked her since the first time I heard 'Bring Me Some Water.'

EDIT: She is in town in August, gives me something to think about.

I love his "Here's Your Sign" routines. I use the line sometimes myself.

Just listened to a playlist of her new and old stuff a couple weeks ago. She's great then and now.

From her latest album, I like "One Way Out". From 2019 I like "Wild And Lonely" and "Faded By Design".

She did a new one (actually she said her new ones were mostly written in the 80s and 90s but she did not release them then for whatever reason) called "As Cool As You Try" which was pretty good. Here latest album is these songs.

This show was last night. I booked the casino resort hotel this time. We ate supper there and breakfast as well. Cost a bit more $$ but this is our last visit here until 2023 so what the heck. The show was good. I was not familiar with much of her music but I enjoyed what I heard. She does not have the stage presence as the other artists we have seen recently. She did a couple covers I recognize: "Don't Stop Believing" (there we are -- unable to escape this song) and "Hit Me With Your Best Shot" as well as covering a Loretta Lynne song. She also did this song to which I came completely unglued.

It was about breast cancer but it hit home. Overall it was a good show and my wife really enjoyed it. This was her bucket list item. On my plus side I had the best prime rib I have had in a while for supper Friday.

Updated concert list. Looks like Anne Wilson is a no go.

I just stumbled across the fact that a new-ish band I like - The Regrettes - are playing something called Innovation Fest in August roughly 5 minutes from my place. Am I gonna see them in a friggin' conference room?
