This week's only surprise. It was all over the radio up here. Will never make the top 40
#74 Feargal Sharkey "A Good Heart"
It would be the second. The first was in my 424.And today is the first time I've heard of him. When I did my VJ analysis of this countdown back in 2017, I was still only listing some of the 'never a top 40' songs. Now I list them all.
"A Good Heart" stalled at #74 in the US. I remember his name him which could have been from a local radio show that featured UK imports or from buying Billboard Magazines when I had the money. It reached #1 in the UK and I've heard it on UK 80s Internet Radio too. This week's only surprise. It was all over the radio up here.
I see it was #4 here in Canada.

A true OHW btw.
The only surprise to me.#84 Ozzy Osbourne "Shot In The Dark"
I agree. "Shot in the Dark" reached #68 which is super low.The only surprise to me.
Yep. #10 US Mainstream Rock.I'm guessing it went higher on the rock or metal charts.
I remember "Don't Stop the Music" well. It's kind of sleepy, but doesn't bother me too much. I did notice a later song, "Heartbeats", bubbled under for a while never to enter the 100. I won prizes on our local urban station for counting down the Hot 8 at 8. Another song by Yarbrough & Peoples, "I Wouldn't Lie", was one of the songs. It barely cracked the 100 stalling at #93 in 1986.29 good.
A couple really crappy songs (#19 & 18 for examples).
Fascinating! Furthering my obsession with 40 peaks. This week we have a #40 peak which replaced another #40 peak last week (Donna Summer).
