I knew this was might be hard for some people here, but this was hard for me. This is the amount of movies, I have on my Apple TV right now and I still have like another 300 movies, I want to buy in the future.

There was a time, I had over several hundred DVDs. But I completely ran out room and decided to sell them all and go digital. I still have couple of DVDs left, which I will never get on digital for iTunes. Like my sister wedding, the 2001 World Series Champions the Diamondbacks and an all-time classic Song of The South.

I'm really not good at lists; I have a hard time picking one good thing over another good thing. I also obsess over the supposed point of the exercise: Is it my 10 favorites, the 10 I think are best, the 10 I'm most likely to watch over again, the 10 I would still most like to watch today? If I thoroughly enjoyed it, is that good enough? Or does it need to be a landmark movie in some way? Apollo 13 and Captain Phillips are both great movies, but neither had a profound effect on me. And if I was flipping through movie channels at night, and came across one of those - or When Harry Met Sally or The Devil Wears Prada - I'd more likely watch one of the latter, even though they wouldn't make my list.

So thanks, Wolf, for causing me to drive myself insane. Here's a list I came up with so far, that I need to pare down:
2001: A Space Odyssey
Planet of the Apes
Woodstock
Apocalypse Now
One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest
Annie Hall
Monty Python and the Holy Grail
Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory
Sleeper
The Jerk
Logan’s Run
The Shining
Ferris Bueller’s Day Off
Airplane!
National Lampoon’s Vacation
This Is Spinal Tap
Wall Street
Sophie’s Choice
Terms of Endearment
Ordinary People
The World According to Garp
Broadcast News
The Doors
Goodfellas
Fargo
Silence of the Lambs
A Beautiful Mind
Memento
The Departed
Castaway
Office Space
Shutter Island
The Social Network
Inception
Dallas Buyers Club

Making lists is right up my alley, so this wasn't difficult for me.
In the case of a movie like Tootsie, it's not really in my 10 best or favorites list, but it was such a well done movie I felt it deserved a nomination.

My list will change from day to day, and I know that I'm forgetting some that would easily top my list.
There's only so much you can do.
