2016 Movies & Tv Shows

daredevil season 2 just came out and this show is marvel doing superheroes right. it doesnt do the stupid jokes, it takes the characters seriously and the whole tone is ominous. im not in the mood to look it up but it seems like this show is handled by a completely different company. i know its all disney but the other movies and tv shows seem to all have the same general feel to them. this is nothing like agents of shield or the superhero team movies. i really like this show and it gives me hope for the movies that have been continuously underwhelming at best (deadpool, iron man, avengers) and just plain boring at worst (fantastic 4, spider man).

I saw "Pee-Wee's Big Holiday" last night at the Alamo. It wasn't as good as "Big Adventure", but it was much, much better than "Big Top". Very sweet.
Saw it over the weekend..
I found this new movie was interesting enough, but not very amusing or memorable.

its interesting how on sunday both hbo shows, girls and vinyl, ended with life on mars covers. i really liked the version played on girls.

Tonight Memegirl and I saw Stephen Chow's new comedy, "The Mermaid". We both thought it was very funny. Kind of disturbing in parts, but over the top and goofy in that Chinese comedy way. Great slapstick and sight gags.

I saw "10 Cloverfield Lane" tonight. I never saw the first one, and just saw this because I wanted to have dinner at the Alamo. It was surprisingly good. John Goodman needs to be in more films.

this first one was also very good. since it was in 08 it was in the midst of the resurgence of 'found footage' movies which can seem played out today but its still definitely worth checking out. it has a nice, non cookie cutter ending.

Good, tell me if it's worth going to.

Well couple days, I read some spoilers online about the movie. Which I'm glad I read, because I give the movie a "B -". The movie is 2 1/2 hours long and the first hour and half was way to long, to me personally the film was very dark and I would have rated it as a C, if Wonder Woman wasn't in it. Not because she hot, she kicked ass! Plus short camoes of the other Justice League members.

I doubt, I would recommend it if anybody wants to see it, it would probably be easier to wait for DVD or when it comes onto TV. I seen Man of Steel couple of times and I still don't care for it and this is the start of the DC Universe, I hope Suicide Squad makes it up for me. So far Marvel is killing it, well mainly Disney side, Fox Deadpool was awesome and the latest X-Men movies are alright.

Also Ben Affleck as Batman was alright, I can definitely say he was better than Val Kilmer and not George Clooney yet. Whenever I see another Ben Affleck "Batman" movie, then maybe he will move up my list.

My favorite Batman actors in order
Michael Keaton
Christian Bale
George Clooney
Adam West
Ben Affleck
Val Kilmer

i talked about aaron pauls new show The Path a couple weeks ago and the first 2 episodes just came out on hulu yesterday. i watched the pilot and its very good. worth sticking with. the pilot sets up that we are watching the inner workings of a cult with their day to day activities and their recruitment process. along with that there is one member who is trying to get out of the cult, which is no easy task.

def. worth checking out.
