The Yucaipa fire has now burned 10,575 acres (16.5 square miles) and is only 16% contained. If this woman ever gets pregnant again, maybe she could – oh, I don't know – simply tell her friends and family members "I'm going to have a baby boy" or "I'm going to have a baby girl"? Wow, what a great idea!
The Bobcat fire – I have no idea why it's called that – in the Angeles National Forest northwest of where I live has now burned 11,500 acres and is at zero containment. Several communities have been warned to prepare to evacuate.

The people who set the fire revealed their kid was going to look like that.
I must clarify – and you all know I'm not the clarifier I used to be – the Yucaipa fire that was started by idiots with smoke bombs is the El Dorado fire. It has burned 11,480 acres (18 square miles) and is now 19% contained. The Bobcat fire is the huge blaze in the Angeles National Forest. It began at 12:21 PM September 6th near the Cogswell Dam. The cause has not been determined.

The smoke from the 26,400-acre Bobcat fire in the Angeles National Forest north of Duarte and Monrovia was so bad today, I couldn't even see the mountains to the north. So far this year, California wildfires have burned more than 3,100,000 acres (4,844 square miles). The largest fire in state history is the August Complex Fire, a merger of 37 blazes that began last month in the Mendocino and Shasta-Trinity National Forests in northern California. It has now burned 746,700 acres (1,167 square miles).

It has now burned 60,557 acres (95 square miles) and the foothill communities of Juniper Hills and Paradise Springs are under mandatory evacuation. More than 1,300 firefighters are battling the blaze.

Yea it's interesting how that main street seems to have stopped the fire while at the same time some of those streets in the residential area that was completely burned look just as wide.

The fire respecialant is pretty crazy. it looks like a lot more hits the ground that it seems when you see it getting dumped in the fire from above.
