I'm getting a bit tired of these single artist channels, but I know one band that possible people would enjoy listening too?

I would love to see a metal channel that has "the six degrees of". For instance they play Metallica then Megadeth...Dave was once a member of Metallica. See what they come up with.

I hate them:bigahh:

If we had one or two of these, I would love to see an artist of the month channel, that would be cool.

The Beatles, The Eagles, Van Morrison, etc.

I was surprised that they didn't do something with Metallica when the last release dropped, at least for a week like Floyd. I would like to see a channel or two dedicated to single artists - rotated every week or two based on the amount of music in their backlog. A week of pink floyd earlier in the year was great - I was beginning to tire of the repeats around the end of the week.

Metallica would have worked if they also included their influences from the more obscure metal bands from the Europe in the last 70s/early 80s - like what they covered in the 'garage' releases.

We have a college station in the Cleveland area that broadcasts a full day "mini marathon" for a band on Thursdays during the summer. It's a great listen since they find a programmer that knows/loves the band, includes some soundbytes/interviews from members and/or folks involved with the band, and will include influences and related bands (the Smiths includes Morrisey, electronic [Marr], modest mouse [Marr], the The [Marr]...).

I would vote no single artist channel of course but if they have to cram one down our thoats, I think the Queen or Eagles one would be ok although I have most of their stuff on MP3 and/or CD.

Instead of doing another single-artist channel, I'd like to see them do a limited-time theme channel, like One Hit Wonders or something.

Is there a group named "No Bandwidth"? Perhaps SiriusXM could add about 25 of those channels, and also assign no bandwidth to them That would make the rest really sound good :)

I think I already know what the next station artist station will be. Mark my words it will be:

The [insert name of white male rock act here] channel.
That's what they all are! Every damn time! That's all people can think of suggesting. A Prince channel be the greatest but since we are talking about Scott "mainstream" Greenstien as the guy in charge it won't happen (plus...Prince can be difficult about stuff like this to say the least). You could even even have artists he's worked with, produced and/or wrote for, even though you wouldn't have to since his catalog of released stuff is so huge not to mention bootlegs, which is insane. But trust me....if they last long enough, it will be another white male rock act!

They single artist should be, oh wait there should be no single artistchannels. This thing suck major butt. I am sick and tired of stations like The Bridge and Boneyard/Buzzsaw being pre-empted for some 24/7 single nartist channel. If I wanted that much AC/DC/ Led Zepplin, Neil Diamond, Bruce Springsteen etc. I would just buy the damn albums. I am not paying $13 a month for that shit. I am paying for Boneyard/Buzzsaw, The Bridge, etc.

Rush would be a good choice. Deep catalogue of music to choose from, plus they could dig up some of those Neil Peart interviews which are pretty good.
