all abba, all the time

I think the Abba channel was a perfect example of HOW to do single artists channels. Have them replace one of the channels for a few weeks, a month MAX! The Bruce Springsteen channel being on for years at a time then becoming the bridge again....Then coming back for another year or so when he has an album out is absurd! I know Springsteen has his fans (I'm one of them but a causal one) but that all these channels tend to piss off more people than attract them. Elvis I understand since it has been around for so long and has the connection to Graceland and likely does attract customers. The others for these very extended periods of time is absurd.

While I hate the single artists channels, especially when it preempts a station I like, Sirius has show no likelihood of not doing more of them. That being said my best guess at the next one to come out is a Guns n Roses channel since they have a new album coming out.

Jonas Brothers

Porco dio! It's the Jonas Brothers!
They're being introduced this holiday weekend as the Jonas Brothers take over for Thanksgiving weekend

Scott Greenstein, President and Chief Content Officer at Sirius XM Radio Inc., comments:
The ability to reach into the creative minds of a band like the Jonas Brothers is something you just can't get anywhere else - and those minds are a national treasure. This is not some sort of new initiative or change in our thinking. I'm a believer in that there is a wide spectrum of tastes in all of our listeners. We're also trying to do our job, and provide the most unique amount of Jonas Brothers content with the spectrum available. It's about getting the most amount of breadth we could have, with the most amount of depth. Meaning that the breadth is the horizontal appeal, and the depth is the vertical appeal. We looked at every element of each channel, from the playlists to the jocks, and tried to bring it together so subscribers and listeners get the best Jonas Brothers experience they can have. If you look at what each service had to offer, you need to bring in those assets from each side (the great Jonas Brothers assets that are missing from the other service) and build a mix of vertical and horizontal content. And, finally, remember this: We simply never ever, ever, EVER censor our Jonas Brothers programming. These are artists of the utmost creditability and we respect their work. The word 'censorship' really gets to me, because it's completely not what the Jonas Brothers are about. We feel that the subscriber and listener are paramount to Sirius XM on one side, and the Jonas Brothers are paramount to us on the other side of the equation.

i want a Engleburt Humpledink channel.

My mother would like that channel though. She had my sister and I go with her to the Ohio State Fair to see him in the early 1970's. Anything for mom.

Also, my sister has mentioned before that she would like an all Osmond channel.

The Beatles Channel

Sorry slightly off topic but there is a BREAKFAST WITH THE BEATLES show on XM59 / SIRIUS 25 each week for three hours.

Have Breakfast with The Beatles

Start your Sunday mornings with The Fab Four: Breakfast with The Beatles is a new weekly three-hour show dedicated to the music and the legend of the group. Hosted by renowned Beatles expert Chris Carter, the show will feature classic Beatles hits, album tracks, B-sides, live recordings and solo material as well as some rare material. The show starts at 9 am ET, and there's a rebroadcast on Sunday at midnight ET."It's an honor to have Chris on our channel. We already play more Beatles music than any other radio channel so it fits in perfectly. Chris hosts the original Breakfast with The Beatles which started 25 years ago and is often imitated but the original has never been equaled. He belongs with us." - "Little Steven" Van Zandt

Sirius XM seriously needs a Laid Back channel.

"If you want to ride.... Ride the white horse...."

Just 24 hours of that!

I think that song played on the Strobe, and you know what Scott Greenstien says. "We don't play disco/classic dance anymore. That's not for upper to middle class white males 18-35. That's only for gays and blacks! Fuck them!" That is an exact quote.

I'm getting a bit tired of these single artist channels, but I know one band that possible people would enjoy listening too?

The Beatles Channel

My thoughts exactly. If we absolutely HAVE to have these single artist channels, and it appears that we do, then the Beatles are a good choicefor the next one. Between all the songs the Beatles did, and the solo work of John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr, as well as perhaps McCartney's Wings material, there is enough to carry a channel for a while. And the Beatles are definitely one of the most popular groups ever! I confess I would check out a Beatles Channel. Of course, Underground Garage plays plenty of Beatles nowadays as well.

Now the Beatles would be better for me than the other channels.
The combined library is HUGE, the variety is good.

I would listen for a couple of hours every week or two.
