I'm glad they let Fauci throw out the first pitch.
He really botched it. He came close to BaBa Booey'ing it.
I'm glad they let Fauci throw out the first pitch.
As much as soccer is a dumb waste of time and any American who likes it should be isolated in internment camps in Arizona, they have been doing some fun things with the cutouts.

Yay! One of the 4 major sports is back! I'm watching Dodgers/Giants and excited about it. I rarely get excited about MLB unless I'm at a game or the Phillies are in the postseason.
The cardboard cutouts of fans that ESPN is using are dumb. And I have a feeling the fake CGI "virtual fans" FOX is going to use will be even dumber. I'd rather see an empty stadium. But whatever, I'm just happy to watch a real sport again.
The Brewers were charging $50 for a personal cutout.

So 50+ people in a church is wrong in Nevada:

SCOTUS Denies Nevada Church's Challenge To Coronavirus Restrictions
Calvary Chapel Dayton Valley argued that the hard cap on religious gatherings was an unconstitutional violation of its parishioners' First Amendment rights.www.huffpost.com
But this is just fine in Oregon:
If rights are being stripped, maybe we also need laws that cap the number of people allowed to protest together during a pandemic.
Yeah, that's both nuts and wrong. But what's with the editing of the article (wearings)? This old bag takes mask wearing (even while eating lunch) very seriously.

Video: Woman maces couple for not wearings masks in San Diego park
An elderly woman sprayed a man and his wife with mace in a San Diego park on Thursday, allegedly because they were not wearing masks while eating a picnic lunch outdoors.disrn.com
You are conflating rules of business (state regulated) with a 1st amendment right to assemble and protest. On internet forums, people are always saying that this or that violates their 1st amendment rights, when those rights don't apply, because they are participating on a closed forum guided by business rules. The perfect example would be the ESPN guys who got fired for making off-color remarks. The 1st amendment gives them the right to speak freely (as long as it doesn't threaten or impinge on the rights of others), but ESPN is a business, so they can set their own rules about what they deem is a bad representation of the network.
Where did I change my mind? In both cases, I agreed that states have the right to enforce regulations (such as wearing masks, and limiting people in an enclosed business). So where did I express a different opinion? But a week ago you made a point to tell me that you were in favor of more COVID related regulations in order to keep people safe. I guess you changed your mind.
I guess it wasn't clear; you can't limit assembly and protest, it's not a business, it's a 1st amendment right we have. While I wouldn't personally join a packed crowd of protesters, it's outside, they're mostly wearing masks, and it can't be regulated. But you can certainly put restrictions on how many people are allowed to gather inside a building that's run by a business.I was saying that the regulations you mentioned above were new and you were in favor of them for public safety reasons, so logic dictates you would also be in favor of other new regulations capping the number of protesters at any given place, also for public safety reasons.
