Walmart will require customers at all of its US stores to wear masks beginning next week, becoming the largest retailer to mandate facial coverings as coronavirus cases continue to rise.
As I've said before, my Walmarts already do. But what I really want to talk about it my trip to Walmart today. They were limiting the number of people in the store. When I got there, there was a line of probably 60 people waiting to go in. I waited in the line and it wasn't that bad, only took about 15 mins. Everyone in line was good at the social distancing too. In the store I only saw one big fat woman with the mask not over her nose, everyone else was masked properly. I was surprised. Walmart is not exactly known for their intelligent, high class customer base. (Thus why I was there hah.)

I just tanked up gas for like the 3rd time in 5 months. One advantage of working from home. They haven't told us officially but I'm picking up the vibe that we might have the option to work from home the rest of the year.
That's great and I hear ya about the driving. I drove for the first time in 4 days today and it was an 9 mile round trip to Walmart. I've had my current tank for a long while now and I'm still at 3/4 full. And now that I topped off my food and household item supply I doubt I'll be driving anywhere for at least the next few days.

Haha, about the same for me too! If we use the wife's car on the weekends, I can go 2 weeks without even firing up my car. When I first back-up, the e-brake takes a moment to unfreeze.I just tanked up gas for like the 3rd time in 5 months. One advantage of working from home. They haven't told us officially but I'm picking up the vibe that we might have the option to work from home the rest of the year.
I just had my mid-year review, and my manager noted that I'll be in the last group to return to the office.

Our company has said our group will be in 'stage 3'. They are at stage 0 now. They said maybe October but I think later. We also will likely be going to a different office with more spacing between desks. I hope to stay from home.

I'm happy to hear that. Not my e-break but a few weeks ago, after I didn't drive for about 2 weeks, when I backed out of my spot it felt a bit jerky. It got me really nervous but turns out it only happened the once. When I left where I was going the reverse was normal and smooth.

My car's got 150k on it, so the brake cable tends to get rusty. In the winter, my tires flat-spot when the car sits, so it's a bit lumpy for the first few miles. But it all evens out.

I have 108k but it's an old RAV, 2005. However I rarely have any issues at all. Even with it baking in the FL sun all day. That's why the backup thing worried me so much. I am very happy it was a one time thing, I really don't need a car repair bill these days.

People want to believe the numbers are being made up. That deaths from other causes are being labeled as covid. Screw them, I'll just stay here in Maine and not worry about what other people think.
