Earlier this year (I think) was when Beet pooped on the floor in the bathroom and the cleaning lady had to take care of the mess. The staff spent a few moments goofing on how they put Beet in the regular bathroom and how the cleaning lady was gonna go back to whatever migrant country...

Anyhoo... I have a fake rap song in my head all in Beet's voice and it's quite catchy.

Beetjuice pooped on the floor
Beetjuice pooped on the floor
Beetjuice pooped on the floor

Who me?
Beetjuice pooped on the floor
That's right
Beetjuice pooped on the floor
Beetjuice pooped on the floor

I am not really an insomniac but tend to do a lot of my Howard listening on my little radio over earphones (don't want tt wake the wifey) in the middle of the night. Last night it seemed they were replaying all night a bit from a few years ago when Howard delves yet again into whether or not Sal and/or Richard are homo. They recount going to a spa which they claim was a gay spa. Now Sal married a piece of ass and had a couple of kids. Richard is married to a woman and, to the best of my knowledge, there was zero social pressure on him to do so. And we all know those guys, particularly Richard, will do just about anything to please Howard and get air time. My point...they are clearly not gay yet Howard would not let it go. So this was a few years ago, before Howard fully "evolved"... when, in my opinion, being a homo was sufficiently freakish to Howard (and I think it still is to him) and the obsession for finding indications of homohood was, for him, deserving of air time.. But now we are in the era of the fully evolved Howard when tracking down whether or not someone is gay should not be so funny. Why run it again? I found it very tedious and unfunny. Sal was straining to make Howard happy but there no humor there. Why am I going into to subject yet again. Because the bit was very tedious and nothing else is happening in the world of Howard.

As I've noted before, I take a different view. I think Kathy Griffin is always a great guest. She's funny and topical, and doesn't need Howard to coax things out of her. And she's not subject to Howard's neuroses about fame, jealousy, family dysfunction, etc.

Making fun of the same things about the same staffers is getting old. Same with the wack pack; I don't need to hear Wendy say "yes" for 45 minutes straight.

We need an injection of youth and topicality into the show.
Howard Stern show has run it's course. Time for him to ride off in the Sunset.

You seem to like bringing this up on a regular basis. You're wrong about what you think he feels about gay people. You sound like a non-listener who doesn't understand the show.

The interest around Richard and Sal is that they do things that straight people don't do. They go to the bathroom together. Richard seems obsessed with male porn stars.

But all of this must be taken as entertainment. Howard, Richard and Sal are all playing roles to amuse us. I would recommend lightening up.

I wonder if Mr. Animal Rights is gonna talk about Ringling Bros. shutting down.

it's sad sam simon is dead. he would have loved this news.

I was talking with someone today who oversees an animal collection at a museum. (In other words, she really knows animals.) She says that PETA (and others) are a lot of "armchair quarterbacks" who see the bullhooks and whatnot and assume that it's a world of torture. She says that Ringling is American Zoological Association accredited (and that's not easy to get.)

PETA looks at zoos and hates them because they think they're prisons. When a zoo is done right, it's better than living in the wild where they can be exposed to disease, poachers, etc. In zoos, they get constant attention from veterinarians, their numbers increase, etc.

Of course, PETA is going to take credit, but I think the real truth is that there's many more entertainment options, especially when everyone is "connected" 24/7. Imagine trying to get kids to sit still for an hour or two or however a show like that lasts.

whenever i see articles like this i can't help but think of hanzi and how this stuff must make his head explode with paranoia.

also, i don't know why this stuck with me but one of hanzi's conspiracy theories was that there would be no US election last year and by the time november rolled around there would be a new world government. i wonder what he thinks of that now or if he even remembers saying it in the first place.

I have a crazy Aunt who kept saying the world would end in December 2012. And it wasn't because of the Mayans; a Rabbi family member supposedly saw signs of it in the bible. I saw my Aunt a year after, and she claimed to have no recollection of any of it.

On Jimmy Kimmel Live's FB page, there's a video where a correspondant is walking around Hollywood, asking people if they prefer Obamacare or the ACA.

Howard don't go on a long rant about the act being stolen or Jimmy being a no-talent hack ripoff artist. Of course, it's also been eons since the Stripper Game or Homeless Game was essentially replaced by Wolfie at all the various conventions...

As Jay Leno pointed out, Steve Allen was doing man on the street stuff long before Howard. Wasn't the early Candid Camera was a man on the street show? Howard's claim was to the hilarity of interviewing homeless men on the street, particularly in Harlem.
