Wonder what is in his will? One-half to Beth, 1/4 split among his three daughters, 1/4 to the NSAL? Wonder what he is worth? A popular estimate is $600,000,000. I think most men with that kind of wealth would leave 1/2 to a foundation in his name.
We all know what happened to O&A and now I see that Jim Norton is no longer on that show/channel.

With that said, all the time off makes it hard to have any flow.

bobo is a moron. we all knew that. yet he managed to surprise me with just how awful his essay was. he decided to write about nixon, he could have picked anyone but wanted nixon. so it was crazy to me that he didnt know what watergate was. he knew it was something bad that got the president out of office but that was it. crazy!
The guy who has a SHRINE(!) didn't write his essay about who the shrine was for.

As I've noted before, I take a different view. I think Kathy Griffin is always a great guest. She's funny and topical, and doesn't need Howard to coax things out of her. And she's not subject to Howard's neuroses about fame, jealousy, family dysfunction, etc.
Making fun of the same things about the same staffers is getting old. Same with the wack pack; I don't need to hear Wendy say "yes" for 45 minutes straight.
We need an injection of youth and topicality into the show.
ok, it's been a few hours since i listened and i can't get this bobo thing out of my head. this is a new level of stupid that i don't understand. my first thought is he must be some sort of mentally challenged person but we know bobo is not retarded. he held a long career as a driving instructor. yet when given the choice he picked a subject which he must have known he didn't have any facts about. or did he actually think he knew about nixon and watergate? maybe he honestly thought what he was writing were the facts? and if that's the case where in the world did he learn that watergate had something to do with illegal arms dealings? or is it possible that he fooled us all and he knew that the best radio would be him failing and looking like a moron so he did it all on purpose? i VERY much doubt that conspiracy theory but the utter stupidity of this whole thing is making my head hurt and making me question everything.

i just looked up the results of his IQ test and he got an 87. so that's low average. still seems too high to me for someone to lack that most basic logic that tells them not to pick a topic they know no details about.
this is driving me insane. i expect i will rant about it further in another few hours or days.

As I've said before, I don't think "average" equals normal. There are a small number of people above 130, but many more slow people below 70. So the average doesn't represent an average non-slow person; rather it represents the borderline between slow and normal.
What that means is that any "normal" person will be at least average or above. So someone below 90 is slow. Bobo (Steve) is either slow or it's an act.

Remember O&A? As we know, Anthony got fired and I think he's out of radio entirely. Jim Norton is also off that show/channel. Opie did a segment with Craig Gass and Artie Lange.

I'm guessing he thought he should choose someone who Howard would agree is most unethical. So it would have to be a world figure, but Bobo doesn't know much about world history. He would've been safer picking High-Pitch Eric. That's someone he could probably write about.
There was a time when I listened to O&A on Sirius, it was during the run-up to the 2008 election. They were much more topical than Howard, and were more likely to skewer current TV commercials or shows or entertainers. All that was good. But Anthony had an unhealthy preoccupation with the idea that Obama had no qualifications to be president (I guess the Cornell or Harvard Law or Senator stuff didn't count), and that anyone who was white and voting for him, was doing so solely out of white guilt.
I think it's OK (as a comedy show host) to have a subversive take on popular opinion, but the problem was that Anthony hammered away at this during each and every show. It was relentless. They had a similarly relentless hard-on for Howard, and I think it was baseless. Howard never said a disparaging word about them, but I think they felt that Howard's lack of opinion was insulting. I understand that Howard was their competition (somewhat), and as such, you want to knock the other guy down, as Howard did to Imus. But really, O&A had a different demographic from Howard, I don't think they were really competitors.
