Good questions. I know 4 or 5 for sure, and have a guess for the others. I think they're all reasonable questions, and different people might know different ones. My only note is that Haagen-Dazs has an "s" at the end.

I won't guess here, as it would ruin it for the others.

On #1, you left the first possible answer exposed above your guess. And I guessed differently for #4. But otherwise, we agree; with the caveat that I don't know #6, so I'd just be picking at random.

I just looked back at the results after yesterday’s game at work. Overall rate of correct answers was 60%, in the sweet spot of 50% to 75%, which means the overall game was about right level.
The Olympics question and Norway, they bombed that one. I tried to make it topical or related to a recent event like the Super Bowl or something connected to February. Can’t please everyone, always will be a few that think it’s easy and a few that will complain that it’s too difficult.

That was a completely legit question; not only because anyone who caught the Olympics saw that Norway topped the medal count. If you wanted to be a dick, you could've said (for example) Norway, Sweden, Finland and Switzerland, which would be really tough. But any reasonable person would say that Norway was the clear winter choice among the ones you listed.

That's because I didn't see it :) I hope it wasn't the right answer. On #4 it is a guess for me.

I edited it out.

Unless it's 80s top 40 hit trivia!
The only time we won (in a tiebreaker!) on trivia night at the Shipyard brewpub, was when we had our daughters with us. They always ask questions about Lord of the Rings, or Star Wars, or Harry Potter, or contemporary pop artists; and one of them would know that. That's the trick to winning - you need people with different areas of knowledge.

Wtf man! How can you have 2 contestants who can't pronounce "creosote"? I can understand having a contestant who has trouble with the word, but then - inexplicably - another one consciously rings-in, thinking "Well, I can fuck it up too"; and proceeds to make a fool of himself. I'd love to know what was going on in Ken Jennings' brain.

The winner was the only one who didn't attempt to pronounce it. Good for him.

Haha, when I was looking for a "creosote" discussion on Reddit, one grumpy person complained that the term "pine hardwood box" is nonsensical; since pine is a softwood. Pshaw!
........I actually said that to the Mrs. when the clue was read.
I told her that the clue didn't make sense since pine is a softwood.

The answer makes less sense based on the clue. A wooden sled isn't a box. The whatever-million-dollar movie prop was the only part that really worked.

So with all the complaining about tracking apps and AI, here's something positive. Facebook knows my interests, and it decided that I'd be interested in the daily rantings of former Boston Globe music & arts writer Jim Sullivan, on the topic of the previous night's Jeopardy. He's been hitting the nail on the head on a daily basis. This was my exact sentiment when this question came up last night.

Yesterday's jeopardy had some monumentally bad wagering. Somewhat late in the game, the contestant on the right wagered most of his $10,000 on a daily double, and was wrong. Leaving the champ to walk away with $34,000 going into final. (The middle contestant was negative).

But wait, he didn't want all that money. He wasted $30,000 of it on getting final wrong, and just barely won the game with $3,000. Foolish.
