But wait, he didn't want all that money. He wasted $30,000 of it on getting final wrong, and just barely won the game with $3,000. Foolish.
I couldn't believe that he made a bet that bad yesterday. He tried to get too greedy instead of taking the cash for the day and knowing that he was going to play again the next day.

His wager was much better today, but the look on his face made me think that he regretted not going big tonight.

The day he gets the correct answer is when he bets conservatively. But I guess he set some record for the most correct answers. Helps when the other contestants aren't providing any competition.

And another mind-boggling musical triple stumper:

This one goes out to an album I love, their 1987 “Document”, which features the song “The One I Love”

Of course, REM.

I think that the girl was slow with the buzzer.

I forgot the questions already, but there were a couple that I was surprised that nobody got right.

I'm ready for Jamie Ding to go. It's getting re-god-damned-diculous. He's won 14 games, most before final even starts. Are there any smart people left?

Whenever Ken Jennings says "It's not over yet", that's Jamie Ding's cue to run away with the game. I don't know when he's ever going to get beaten.

He'll get tired soon and make a couple of obvious mistakes.
He already knows that he'll be back for more tournaments and more money.

On Friday's game, Jamie was challenged by another Asian-American from New Jersey. The guy comes out all full of piss and vinegar, and bets it all on a daily double, and gets it right. But then he gets another, bets it all, and goes to zero. And Jamie runs away with it again.

Back in the day, it was rare for a contestant to win very many games in a row.

Do you think that it's the on-line screening test that has brought so many of the top-tier players out?

Up until the year Ken Jennings first appeared as a contestant (2004 I believe), there was a 5 game max. You win 5 games, you get into the ToC, and you're done. 3 new contestants are picked for the next game.

I was at band practice.
Did Jamie win again?
The contestant on the right was named Patrick, and he was going toe-to-toe with Jamie in the first round. I think they both ended the round with about $8,000. Then in double Jeopardy, Patrick had like $13k and found a daily double, and bet it all. He got it right, giving him about $26k. A couple of questions later, Jamie found the other daily double, bet it all, and got it right. So it was about $27k each. The middle contestant was doing OK too, with about $4k. The round ended with Jamie at $30k, Patrick at $28k.

In final Jeopardy, the question was about something that was introduced in 1955, 10 years after a famous person died. It was the polio vaccine (FDR). Jamie got it correct, Patrick said penicillin, so Jamie won again.

Sounds like Jamie may be getting a bit burnt out.
He was on Good Morning America the other day, so I wasn't sure if his reign had ended on the broadcasts.
I know they tape Jeopardy a few months in advance, so I'm sure that he's been done with that part for a while.
