I would try to say I agree with you, but that post is completely illegible. I'm even inclined to think this post is a joke; nobody could post like this without careful planning. I mean c'mon dude, "Perry Como" is the only thing you actually spelled correctly. Punctuation and spell check (not to mention schooling > 7th grade) is your friend.

I know I'm pretty notiorious for spelling mistakes and even missed words, but DAMN! Just attempt a full sentence! I'll tolerate that from Marianne from Brooklyn and I do that under protest!

Somebody call Mrs. Beasley!

50s on 5 is NOTHING like sirius gold sirius =gold was 100% better than xms 50s
will be getting a slacker G2 and find something as good as sirius gold was
worte a letter to Mel K anout how pisseed I was with this lame line up
I spent way over 700.00 bucks for a factroy built in system and now it is getting to be useless
and as tonight the stock is at 12 cents I wonder how much longer sirius has before it goes belly up
I had xm first but thierdeep play listr drove me nuts so I dumped XM for sirius and now I am back to XMs lame playlist
IF any thing XM should have went belly up and saved sirius the headack
Just like my old job at DHL thet just had to merge with airbone witch had a lot of red ink so what happens three years later the whole thing goes out of busness by the end of the year DHL will be gone and I feal sirius is going down the same road

First....Uh, wow!

Next, I never got Sirius Gold, but that's just me. I mean, wouldn't it make more sense to have a channel with just 50s stuff and another with just 60s! Seemed like whenever I put Sirius Gold on, they were playing something from the 60s and there is already a 60s channel! Then again, as someone morning the loss of a unique format, I feel for ya.

Jim Grammer? Is that the guy who spent the last three years arguing for a merger? You know, Cramer?

Variety? Not in the hip-hop realm, it's mostly just the same 100 songs just shuffled up and looped. I liked Sirius before the channel merger much better.

I think most Sirius customers would agree!

I sort of always felt that is the way it was on most channels on Sirius prior to the merger. Most of the channels have actually gone a lot deeper rather than shallow. But Sirius has always been known for shallow stale playlist, seems you guys would be right at home. LOL ;) Honestly though that is how I felt about many of the channels previously like Roadhouse and most all the decades channels. Now they are all greatly improved from before the merger.

I think that the sports play-by-play and Howard Stern/Opie & Anthony will keep Sirius-XM going for quite a while longer.

What do Opie & Anthony have to do with anything? By themselves, they wouldn't keep the company going for another day. They're almost extinct on terrestrial radio, and Howard has consistently blown them away on satellite.

Well enjoy your homemade playlist, been there and done that, not going back. I'd go to Slacker first. You are certainly free to your opinion but I whole-heartedly disagree, I think the changes were great and I am very much so enjoying the fresh playlist. Those stale playlist that Sirius has been playing for months and months is what was terrible. This has been like a breath of fresh air and a much need one at that.

No offense DAB as you and I go way back on the old Backstage forum but, you have been a mod for a long, long time...perhaps your opinion is somewhat jaded. :)

I've been off the music streams for over six months and I had tuned into hairnation for a bit and it still sounded the same as it did before. I will say "left of center" or what ever they are calling it this week was pretty enjoyable.

None taken! So, you are saying as a long time subscriber that regardless of what I hear or see that I would say everything is great anyway? I've not been totally happy with everything that was done in regards to the music, but overall it's been good for me. However, with that said I can see why folks would think this merger was not good for them. Still it was a major task to merge all these channels and even though I would have done it differently and you would have likely done it even more differently than I, we would have just pissed someone else off in our decision. It is a no win. I also think many of the complains made are very legit, but I am a realist and having the expereinces I do with Sirius, I know they aren't going to just say. Oops.. sorry guys we screwed up, so here are all those channels back. Maybe they should, but they won't!

I find many of the channels still very enjoyable, though for those that I don't I do have Slacker because even though I am a great sat radio fan, I am not about to lock myself into one technology as the electronic geek in me wouldn't ever allow me to do that. LOL

Agreed! I sure wish my post count and userid would have transferred over here. I had to re-create it.
