I've never heard this one before. I like it. I like Eminem. One of the few c-rappers I actually do. My favourite of his is "The Real Slim Shady".

This one is now part of my library.

I still like some of his more recent stuff like:

Godzilla (2020)
Venom (2018)
Remind Me, River, Walk On Water (2017)
Monster, Rap God, Berzerk (2013)

But the last full album I liked just about every track on was Relapse (2009).

They just don't seem to get noticed and much publicity when they come out.
#201 Survivor "Eye Of The Tiger"

Brings back memories of going to my friend's house and playing his 7" of this on his record player in the summer of '82. Simpler times.

That's a bit of kitsch from my Jr. high school days.
I wouldn't put it on a list, but it makes me smile.

#200 Red Hot Chili Peppers "Higher Ground"

Summer 1989, Stephen Tyler was hosting 'Hard 30' (or maybe by then it was 'Hard 60') on MTV one afternoon. He said something to the effect of "I listen to these guys at every show right before I get on stage to get pumped up." And then the "Fight Like A Brave" video came on. Fortunately I was videotaping! That weekend, my buddy and I went in 50/50 on The Uplift Mofo Party Plan and I was hooked. Within a couple months, their next album Mother's Milk came out. I listened to those two albums non-stop for months. I remember being at a party and the "Higher Ground" video came on the TV. I was like "Alright I love this band!" I could feel the whole room collectively think, "This kid's a weirdo". Three years later, they were on top of the world.

Yyyyyyyeah they started to lose me with Blood Sugar Sex Magick (actually Soul To Squeeze was a preview of things to come right before it). I like the album, but not as much. I didn't originally get into Under The Bridge, I had to learn to accept the idea that the 'socks on our cocks wildmen' were now writing A/C songs. And I still don't like "Breaking The Girl", it's annoying. And Give It Away is wayyy too repetitive, they shoulda made it about 2 minutes long.

The next album with Dave Navarro lost me completely. I think there's only two songs on there I like - Coffee Shop and Shallow Be Thy Game. The radio songs do nothing for me.

But for a few years, they were incredible!! And they were the first concert I ever went to - May 1990 at UNH.

Higher Ground is one of my RHCP favorites.
Peppers attitude with a Stevie song?!?!? Killer.
I saw them in 2003 with Queens of the Stone Age. Good show.

#197 Van Halen "Mean Street"

After getting into 1984, my cousin recommended I listen to Fair Warning. It became my favorite album of all ever for my teens and into my 20s (with Pyromania as my #2 best of all ever back then). I still think it's the best VH album and it's still one of my all time ever fav albums.

#195 Cat Stevens "Where Do The Children Play"

Polar opposite of the previous song. I've loved this one since I was a playing children. I was always climbing trees and playing games out in the woods as an ankle-biter, and the idea of "progress" meaning skyscrapers everywhere and paving the forest worried my tiny, developing mind.

Certainly a great album.

More so than his hits, my favorites are Sad Lisa, Where Do the Children Play, and The Wind. You've already got two of them on your list!
