Don't know. Will Hunt said that back in 2004. He's played drums with Evanescence, Black Label Society, Device, Staind and Static X since. So it didn't ruin him. but yeah it coulda been a big bridge burning moment!

Does Clive run Any Records now?
Davis was elevated to Chief Creative Officer of Sony Music Entertainment,[27] a title he currently holds, as part of a corporate restructuring when Sony BMG became Sony Music Entertainment in late 2008 when BMG sold its shares to Sony.[3] Arista Records and J Records, which were both founded by Davis, were dissolved in October 2011 through the restructuring of RCA Records. All artists under those labels were moved to RCA Records.[28]

Sony owns half the world so they are even more doomed.

Slipknot

Genre: nu metal, heavy metal

Discovered: Ozzfest sampler cd (two songs, but only rough mixes of them)

Other: Went to Locobazooka '99 (a local radio station's big show) and saw Slipknot, Staind, Static X, System of a Down and a bunch of other "S" bands that were just starting to break big. Slipknot's set was the craziest. The crowd pushed so hard I was leaning forward at a 45 degree angle, then it would reverse and I'd be leaning backward at a 45 degree angle. Like a thousand sardines nailed to the floor of the ocean as the tide reverses every 30 seconds.

HIGH FIVE:

1. (sic)
2. Eyeless
3. Wait And Bleed
4. Surfacing
5. Psychosocial

Something I recently learned, Jay Weinberg, the drummer for Slipknot, is Max Weinberg's son (yes, the Springsteen drummer).

Snoop Dogg

Genre: hip hop

Discovered: on Dre's "Nothin' But A G Thang"

Other: It's the bow to the wow, creepin' and crawlin'. His new song "Gang Signs" may replace #5 below eventually, it's pretty hot.

HIGH FIVE:

1. Vato (with B Real of Cypress Hill)
2. Who Am I (What's My Name)
3. Snoop Bounce (with Rage Against The Machine)
4. Gin And Juice
5. Point Seen Money Gone

Spin Doctors

Genre: rock and roll

Discovered: FM, "Little Miss Can't Be Wrong"

Other: Three solid hits from their first album. Pretty much the only ones anyone knows (or wants to know) from them. Aside from those two other mediocre tracks at #4 and #5 below, I'm in the same boat. Three-hit wonder.

HIGH FIVE:

1. Little Miss Can't Be Wrong
2. Two Princes
3. Jimmy Olsen's Blues
4. Have You Ever Seen The Rain
5. What Time Is It

They're back on tour, in fact they're in town for a show at one of our 'Taste of' festivals up north. Sold out!

I hadn’t realized (or totally forgot) that Popper had been a part of the bands roots. They seem to have someone sanitizing their wiki pages, because they don’t reference any of the less glamorous stuff that we all know happened.
