If no former President dies before Inauguration Day, we'll have five former living Presidents.

That's happened twice before. When Clinton took office (Nixon, Ford, Carter, Reagan, & Bush), and when GWB took office (Ford, Carter, Reagan, Bush, & Clinton).

I suspect whomever wins may be a single term president, so if Carter and Bush Sr. can hold on 4 years, we may have 6 presidents alive in 2020.

I have no idea what this is.
are you being facetious? i cant tell.
well if not...this person is the epitome of PC culture gone amok and trump is the flip side of that extreme coin.
It's usually a good assumption that I'm being facetious, but in this case, I'm not. The problem isn't with the person who shared the pilot's humorously dimwitted comment, but with your hyperbolic response in bold. It's neither "PC culture" nor has it "gone amok". Do you not understand why Betsy thought this was worth commenting about? Is the pilot being jailed? Don't people have the right to express an opinion, without that opinion being called "PC culture gone amok"?

My mother-in-law didn't realize that calling an Asian person "Oriental" was offensive to them. "They have oriental rugs, right?" But the rest of us thought her use of the term was funny, and we'd share the story with others for a laugh. So is anyone or anything really being threatened in that story? Is it so terrible that I point out her use of a term that people find offensive?

You all need to chill when it comes to labeling everything as "PC", and acting like the world is coming to an end, just because people are trying to be respectful to one-another. And none of this (in my opinion) has anything to do with Trump; it's a straw man "problem", and saying he's the solution is naive, to say the least. It's like saying "children sometimes make sounds, so we should kill all children".

Oh, and BTW, Trump can't be the extreme opposite of PC. Someone who would fit that bill, wouldn't be offended by anything. But Trump is constantly offended by almost everything; he's the most thin-skinned person who's ever lived. In the words of Bill Maher, he's a "whiny little bitch".

to me the only dimwitted person in that situation is the woman who tweeted her complaint over nothing. i can tweet that today the grass on my lawn was too green. fine. everyone can go ahead and have an opinion but if you're going to make your silly opinions public they are open to be mocked. also, yes her end goal was for that pilot to be punished in some way or she would not have added @united in the tweet.

you dont think someone getting upset by hearing the term 'pretty ladies' has anything to do with a PC culture? come on.

and yes maybe i do get too upset when i see these internet crusaders. i can admit that. it just really bothers me. but i also think you should ease up on running to the defense of people who make it their mission to find offense in everyday, pleasant situations when none is there.

yea youre probably right about that but that is how trump is viewed. true or not his brand is the un-PC candidate.

btw...before we get a talking to from aaron or hectic, this is my last post on the topic. if you respond scotch just know that i will read it and probably want to say something back but i dont want to be the reason this topic gets locked so ill save it for our next silly message board debate. :)

Well, the whole thing is an example of human stupidity going over the top IMO.

Sure, the pilot shouldn't have said that. I'm sure the airline wouldn't be happy.
They wouldn't be happy because some people will take offense and complain about it.

Sure, she noticed him say what he shouldn't have said, and brought it to the airlines attention via public forum.
She didn't go over the top in her scolding of the pilot. She just said "Really?"

To me, it's all of the response comments that are over the top. People are vicious.
