Sherbert is NOT and NEVER WILL BE ice cream.
Also game 162 is always bittersweet to me. It is the end of everyday baseball with multiple games and a sign that in just a few weeks, it will all be over until April.
He is unique in that his 163rd game was not a extra tiebreaker game.Ken, I'll take "MLB PLAYERS WHO WERE IN 163 GAMES IN A SEASON" for $800.

Devers plays in his 163rd game, a first since 2008 -- and homers!
SAN FRANCISCO -- No one has played in more games this season than Rafael Devers. Granted, the Giants’ slugger took advantage of a unique set of circumstances to hit a rare mark that hasn’t been reached in 17 years. Starting at designated hitter and batting third, Devers went 1-for-4 withwww.mlb.com
MLB has taken a lot of steps to shorten games. Most games are done in under 3 hours. Most about 2.5 hours. I personally find the game more exciting than watching cars drive around in circles over and over again.I find that, as a working, functioning adult, watching 162 games is insane; especially at 4 hours each. I know many adults who do watch (or listen to) them all, and it runs their lives. Kids, dinners, and social activities all take a back seat to watching players spit, scratch their balls, and hit foul after foul for hours.
When I started watching F1, it was 18 races per season. Now it's 24. The race is 2 hours, and the qualifying is an hour. Plus they added a few short sprint races per season. That's enough time to spend watching sports.
You obviously have no idea what Formula One is.I personally find the game more exciting than watching cars drive around in circles over and over again.
It's very simular to NASCAR but without the exciting crashes. You obviously have no idea what Formula One is.
I know, you're joking. But saying any sport involving a car is the same, is like saying any sport involving a ball is the same. You see how ignorant that is?It's very simular to NASCAR but without the exciting crashes.
Car racing does nothing for me. I have watched NASCAR some as my wife was a big fan. Actually went to a race in 2021 (Watkins Glenn) as one of her bucket list things. Enjoyed it. The best part of most of the races was the crashes. I have tried to watch Indy and F1 when I was much younger. I found it boring. Hardly any passing. Only strategy seemed to be when to pit which seemed to be the only way to change the order. Too me 2 hours is way too much time to invest. And I recall some of these F1 races lasting 24 hours (or is that a different circuit?).I know, you're joking. But saying any sport involving a car is the same, is like saying any sport involving a ball is the same. You see how ignorant that is?
But really, who's asking for your opinion of F1? I just used it as an example of a sport that doesn't require 500 hours of my time each year (not including post-season). I could've used football instead. But then you wouldn't have been able to personally attack my intelligence. Which is no fun for you.
The Yankees are annoying as hell. The last 3 weeks they somehow seemed to remember how to play baseball.I kept quiet all season, but go Yankees!
I know they will flame out like every one of the last 15 seasons. Hope they eliminate the hated Red Sox at least.
I follow the MLB standings but I really haven’t watched a game all season. Just World Series normally for me.
Again, not relevant, and I don't care. I was only citing a sport I watch that requires a normal amount of viewership. If I said football, would you still be talking about auto racing?Car racing does nothing for me.
Wrong. That's endurance racing. Completely different sport. It's like if I started talking about soccer to criticize baseball. By regulation, F1 races are capped at 2 hours. Most are done in less than 1.5 hours. And I recall some of these F1 races lasting 24 hours (or is that a different circuit?).
The discussion was about the number of games per year. 98 even posted the history of that. I added to that conversation. And I never said "I don't like baseball".And I might add that you do live in sort of a free country and free speech is sometimes allowed, but I have to ask what the point of coming into a baseball thread with a comment pretty much saying solely that you don't like baseball.
