Where I live we don't have hurricanes. We have fires, floods and earthquakes. As Dorian was upgraded to a hurricane with 75-mph winds, our Tweeter-In-Chief called the San Juan Mayor "incompetent," Puerto Rico and its politicians "corrupt" and the island's political system "broken." He also bragged, "I'm the best thing that's ever happened to Puerto Rico!" Yeah, the highlight of their life was Donald Trump tossing rolls of paper towels to a few of them.

Things could change but as of now, it looks like this one will turn north at some point and not impact me in Louisiana.

Bought hurricane supplies yesterday they include:

8 cans of Chef Boyardee cheese ravioli
2, 8 packs of 20oz Gatorade bottles
Tootsie Rolls
Cat litter

The rest came from my Dad's place or I had already:

Ritz crackers
Planters nuts x2
Skittles
2 each of Campbell's soup and Cup of Noodles
3 boxes of cereal

Now that I'm at my place without a portico for parking I'll need to make sure I get a spot away from trees. Usually it's the opposite because the shade is nice.

I think the cat litter might be the healthiest thing on that list. High fiber.

Duh! The hurricane will hit Florida and Florida is known for its alligators. I'm glad I could explain this to you.

Although I don't think Gatorade really contains any alligator parts.

It's still far enough out that a lot can change (look how much changed today) but if this most recent projection holds it will hit right when I'm scheduled to go back to work. I'll have to call my boss on Monday morning to see what's up. Our place never closes and is a hurricane shelter so I may be forced to come in on Tues. It will be interesting to see how bad it is overnight on Monday and if the roads will be passable on Tuesday afternoon.

Hopefully the path will change between now and then.
