Edge at Hudson Yards, the highest outdoor sky deck in the Western Hemisphere, is opening up an ice skating rink high above New York City streets on Tuesday.

I saw the above story about the 100th floor of 30 Hudson Yards, and I had 2 thoughts:
1) The picture is deceiving, as it shows what looks like people skating on the outside observation deck, but the skating rink is inside.
2) I had no idea that this observation deck (called Edge New York) existed, nor did I know that any of the buildings of Hudson Yards were there.
Hudson Yards is a group of very tall buildings along the Hudson river in midtown Manhattan. In fact, it's located around the same street as the Empire State building.

And then I thought to myself that my school (Stevens Institute of Technology) is across the river from midtown. So I looked at a map, and sure enough, it's part of the new skyline visible from the campus. Here's the Google Maps 3D satellite image

I narrowed the river a bit to squeeze it all in, but that's my campus on the left - the grassy area jutting-out. And just a bit uptown on the right is Hudson Yards. And if you look over to 5th Ave, that's the Empire State. So if you visit NYC, I'd check out the Edge NY observation deck.
