How the hell did he get (bed bath and) beyond all those randomly scattered patios on the way down? Can't imagine how he didn't end up on someone's patio between floor 17 and floor..... 6?
 
I've never wondered why they were so expensive, just why people keep shoveling them cash.

Lotta money, but no taste.
 
Croatian/Czech architect Vlado Milunić died today, September 17. He was 81. He and Frank Gehry designed the Nationale-Nederlanden
building in Prague. The building is nicknamed "The Dancing House." Pardon me – I have to go take some Dramamine.

It was kinda groundbreaking at the time. It was an early building that they used computers more holistically from design through construction.
Gehry would sculpt models of the design with paper and cardboard, they would digitize (scan) the models into the computer, and use that to make the final construction drawings. They used the 3d coordinates from the model on the construction site to locate stuff in real space when they built it.
