I don’t make it to a KFC very often (Popeyes reigns supreme here), but I’d sacrifice some health to try that.
 
Damn. I hope it's not one them that I go to. I drove past one yesterday on my way to a meeting and it smelled sooooo good.
 
I like BK, I have seen couple of locations closed. There was one, I thought it was in a great location. Tons of homes around, high school near by and shopping center across the street at a major intersection. As time moved on, one of the grocery store closes, which turned into a Goodwill, an KFC turned into a Starbucks and now the old BK location is a Filiberto's.

I have a BK near me, I don't see it busy as much locations. Beside the drive-thru, hopefully that one survives. I rather see some McDonald's and Subway locations close.
 
Never eaten at Golden Corral. But I miss Ponderosa with their buffet

Ponderosa Steakhouse and Bonanza Steakhouse are a chain of buffet/steakhouse restaurants that are a part of Homestyle Dining LLC based in Plano, Texas. In 1989 there were almost 700 Ponderosa locations. By 2003 there were less than 400 locations. By October 2022 only 17 Ponderosa locations remain open.

The era of the bottomless buffet is past. Old Country Buffet is dead, and a visit to Golden Corral is perhaps better left to those actively seeking death. But not too long ago, there was another all-you-can eat chain that loomed like a tall pine over the national scene: Ponderosa Steakhouse.
