In-n-Out burger is getting a Northern Colorado location before the end of the year. The unfortunate part is they're putting it next to a Chik-Fil-A and a Starbucks, which means the lines into that place when it opens is gonna be the stuff of legends.

I'll wait a few weeks.

We will still be able to get free refills. We'll just have to ask.

So much for my kids making their own mix of sodas and juices from every fountain. Of course, that was quite some time ago.

The only person I have seen doing this lately was old enough to know better. Of course, this article does not mention Canada although I can't think of the last time I actually went into a McDonalds restaurant and sat down and ate or drank.

When the cheese slice is larger than a quarter of the Filet-O-Fish patty again, I'll go back.

In that case, 79-year-old Stella Liebeck suffered third-degree burns from a cup of coffee that was also purchased through a McDonald’s drive-through window. Liebeck, who was in the vehicle’s passenger seat when the injury occurred, was hospitalized for over a week and required skin grafting.

Yea that case from 94 seemed like a joke but turns out it was a serious injury. I watched some doc on it a few years back.

She was upset that three McDonald's employess refused to help her – and she was really upset when they started singing "You deserve a burn today."

I'm sorry, but screw these people. If you think it's a good idea to be bouncing around in a car while trying to sip out of a blazing hot cup of coffee - which was haphazardly thrown together into a cheap disposable cup by a frazzled minimum-wage worker who's on the headset with another order - then you deserve to be burned.

In general, I don't do drive-throughs; I prefer bringing my own coffee in a proper travel mug. But when I do get drive-through coffee, I let it sit for a long time before I drink it, because it's black and hot, and because I'm not an idiot. In fact, I often spill some out before I get moving, because otherwise, it comes through the lid whenever I hit a bump.

If you choose to drive a car while balancing hot coffee, it's on you. And if the lid wasn't secured properly, then fucking fix it. I hate this attitude that everything is somebody else's fault.

Agree with the above.

But then everyone could just not need a drug to start their day too. I hate those goddamn "no coffee no workee" "danger I haven't had my coffee yet" images in people's cubes and on their social media feeds. Might as well make it "please wait until I've done a line of cocaine, then I'll be ready for you".

Mrs. Scotch is one of those people, and it's a bit annoying. As for myself, I have coffee every morning, and I enjoy it. But there are times that I don't have it, and I survive. After my heart event and surgery, I didn't have coffee for like 2 months. I was fine.

What I find to be so ironic, is the people backing-up the drive-thrus at Starbucks are supposed to be these environmentally conscious go-getters, yet they spend 20 minutes in line with their cars idling. Just make coffee at home and go to work. Jesus.

Again with this bullshit. Someone in the shipping dept took the day off so someone else had to do the morning routine stuff. He fucked up two things, just not paying attention. What did he blame? "I haven't had enough coffee yet." GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

It's just a knee-jerk excuse, like "the dog ate it" or "the sun was in my eyes".
