DRC Madness #23 - DRC All-Time Songs

I updated the above to include madness positions. Some of those songs did a lot better in Madness then in outright voting. The following songs from the 0 point but nominated list also did well in the madness:

When Dove's Cry by Prince
Madness Position: #9

Purple Haze by Jimi Hendrix
Madness Position: #17

The following song got 0 votes and was not nominated by anybody and did well in the madness:

Mr, Jones by Counting Crows
Madness Position: #17

And thanx to @sadchild for providing the brackets of the #5, #9 and #17 songs.

Very interesting how a song can climb so high in madness based on the songs it went up against, but later you learn people only chose it as the better of the stuff from the bottom of the heap.

In reverse, I know some amazing songs got eliminated early because they went up against the top 16 in the first couple rounds.

I also think the dislike factor also is a factor in madness. Sometimes a vote for X is more like a vote against Y.

The top of the list does have a few surprises.

Just a note about common voting. We didn't do a lot.
Number of songs with 3 voters: 14
Number of songs with 4 voters: 3
Number of songs with 5 voters: 2
Number of songs with 6 voters: 0
Needless to say the songs with more votes did better on the countdown. We have a lot of 2s.

I noticed that Wolfie's list had practically no songs in common with mine.

I think my list isn't common with anyone else list. I have a different taste in music and grew up listening to the newer stuff mainly the 80's till today. I don't have much 70's songs that I like.

Everybody shares at least 1 song with someone else. Usually more than 1. You are no different.

Would you mind putting this into a separate thread, with the word "Playlist" in the title?

It's not really a playlist. It's just a list – and not a very long one, either. I'm not aware of any of those songs
ever being played on SiriusXM. Here is Willie Nelson's Vote 'Em Out:
