We have some Al Stewart fans here! Me included. His two songs pushed him ahead of some rock legends.

2 or 3 songs is all it takes. Only the top 3 artists have more than 3 songs in the Madness.

Both of his big hits are great, but I picked the one I like better for my 50, and dropped the other.

I think Aaron did the same thing (except the other hit). Myself and C98 voted for both.

#5-8:

#8: Dire Straits [3 songs, 159 points, tiebreaker: 0]
#7: Led Zeplin [2 songs, 160 points, tiebreaker: 0]
#6: Queen [3 songs, 165 points, tiebreaker: 0]
#5: Eagles [3 songs, 179 points, tiebreaker: 0]

Top 4 tomorrow morning. Any guesses on the 4 and/or of the order?

I will say that #3 & #4 are quite far behind #1 & #2. Only the #4 artist has < 4 songs.

Springsteen and John Lennon have to be in there. Maybe Bob Seger too. And the Beatles.

Good guesses. 3 / 4 with only 1 wrong. You forgot my exclusions of single songed artists.

#1-4:

#4: Bruce Springsteen [2 songs, 183 points, tiebreaker: 0]
#3: The Rolling Stones [5 songs, 184 points, tiebreaker: 0]
#2: Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band [6 songs, 257 points, tiebreaker: 0]
#1: The Beatles [4 songs, 270 points, tiebreaker: 0]

The following artists had 1 song but would have been in the top 20. I have included the spot they are ahead of without renumbering the list.

#20: Carol King [94 points]
#20: Otis Redding [99 points]
#9: John Lennon [153 points]

Lots more lower down. If I included single song artists the countdown would not have been 44 artists but 173 artists.
