The "correct order" part of the post above should have this above Kenny/Dolly
Bonnie Tyler "Total Eclipse" #96

Good 20
Okay 3
Bad 17

39: THE DREAM (HOLD ON TO YOUR DREAM)- IRENE CARA
36: REMEMBER THE NIGHTS - MOTELS
33: NIGHTBIRD - STEVIE NICKS

These didn't sound familiar, but I searched and saw that I've heard them on a past VJ or two.

25: SO BAD - PAUL McCARTNEY

1: OWNER OF A LONELY HEART - YES

My guess. No clue on what the other two guessed.

Will never get into the top 40
#43 Rick James/Smokey Robinson "Ebony Eyes"
#45 Dolly Parton "Save The Last Dance For Me"
#51 Night Ranger "(You Can Still) Rock In America"
#52 Prince "Let's Pretend We're Married"

#92 Bonnie Tyler "Take Me Back"
#95 Linda Ronstadt "What's New"
#97 Eddie Money "The Big Crash"
#98 ConFunkShum "Baby I'm Hooked"
A McCartney song getting the B&B treatment. Anyone needs me I'll be outside looking for the Four Horseman.

(For the record, I think a lot of McCartney's solo stuff is crap, Let Him In, Hi Hi Hi, among others, but other stuff is also legendary and there really is no in between with his work for me).

EARLIER
Bon Jovi "You Give Love"
Bruce Hornsby "The Way It Is"
Peter/Amy "Next Time I Fall"
Bangles "Walk Like"

Gregory Abbott "Shake You Down"
Madonna "Open Your Heart"

LATER
Starship "Nothing's Gonna Stop"
Bon Jovi "Living On"

I feel like I'm missing a couple in the 'later' that will be on the Hot 100 this week.
But these are too far later to be on there:
Kim Wilde "You Keep"
Cutting Crew "Died In Your Arms"
U2 "With Or Without You"

#91 Rob Junglkas "Make It Mean Something

First time ever seeing this name. He does have a Wiki page.

Jungklas said that while he's proud of his pop-oriented work in the 1980s, "in my mind, I'm really a blues artist ... folk and blues. People might roll their eyes when I say that. But in my head, that's what it is."

Just saw this on another forum:

Correct me if I’m wrong, but as of now, there is only one song in 1987 that has never been featured on the big 40. Let’s Work by Mick Jagger- Oct 24 1987 for one week.

I did a search for Jagger in this thread and didn't see "Let's Work" in the results. It's a #39 peak (not a #40) so we haven't been tracking it. Does anyone know if this song has ever been on the VJ 40?

If I ever have way too much time on my hands. I would like to create a spreadsheet of VJ Big40 dates and airdates. But I already have 2 or 3 "projects" which are stalled in front of that so imagine the odds of this happening.
