38: WRACK MY BRAIN – RINGO STARR
Not sure if I'd ever heard this one before. Weird, as the guy was a friggin' Beatle, fer Chrissakes.
33: POOR MAN’S SON - SURVIVOR
Ditto on this one, & man is it generic.
27: SOMEONE COULD LOSE A HEART TONIGHT – EDDIE RABBITT
He's one of those guys I've been reintroduced to listening to these old countdowns, & I'm always surprised how much I like those hits of his that I haven't heard in hell, decades. There has to be an old El' Cheapo "greatest hits" CD out there, right? ( heads to Amazon ) EDIT RABBITT? : There is. 5 bucks, with all the hits I wanted. Sold.
26: STEAL THE NIGHT – STEVIE WOODS
This week's "Haven't Heard This Since It Was A Hit" entry. Weird that we didn't play it on our AM station, cuz it would've totally fit.
22: MY GIRL (GONE, GONE, GONE) - CHILLIWACK
A real favorite of mine - I still have the 45. Another band I should look into about a "greatest hits" CD.
18: PRIVATE EYES – DARYL HALL & JOHN OATES
13: I CAN’T GO FOR THAT – DARYL HALL & JOHN OATES
They were my first concert ( "H2O" tour in...1982? ) so it's weird that all I've ever owned of theirs was a "best of" CD now, & "Voices" on cassette & "Along The Red Ledge" on vinyl back in the day. BUT...I recently decided to take the deep dive, & ordered a couple of those "Original Album Classics" CD box sets of their stuff that has 5 albums per box set. The first one just arrived yesterday, actually.
Man, I liked a LOT of the music in this countdown. Only a handful I didn't care for, or have some affection towards.
Jealous!They were my first concert ( "H2O" tour in...1982?
Don't remember the name of the venue, but the big arena in Tulsa, OK. The opening band was OXO, so technically they were the first band I ever saw live.Jealous!

The only one I've heard is the Jarreau. But I couldn't hum it right now. I'd have to hear it again and go 'oh yeah that one'.I don't think I've ever heard any of these before.
I thought this would have been VERY close to the 40.#63 Billy Squier "My Kinda Lover"
Yay Rush!#90 Rush "Closer To The Heart"
I thought this would have at least made it close to 50 or so.#99 Triumph "Magic Power"
I shouldn't say I am surprised anymore. I know they only had 1 top 40. But that is quite surprising given the number of great songs and albums they have had.Yay Rush!
I didn't expect it to make the 40, but it's Rush.
My Kinda Lover #45 peak.I thought this would have been VERY close to the 40.
