Here's my two cents for the week:
38: TWO PEOPLE - TINA TURNER
Not a strong single in my opinion.
34: FOR TONIGHT - NANCY MARTINEZ
I had to look this one up. I remembered once I heard it. Nice to have a dance track thrown into the fray.
33: GOLDMINE - THE POINTER SISTERS
I didn't remember this one.
29: YOU BE ILLIN' - RUN-D.M.C.
They blocked the one hit wonder curse with this one.
22: AT THIS MOMENT - BILLY VERA & THE BEATERS
I remember this one played on Family Ties.
21: SOMEDAY - GLASS TIGER
They continued their success in Canada. I listened to a few and they weren't bad.
17: YOU KNOW I LOVE YOU….DON'T YOU? - HOWARD JONES
Nice to see Howard again.
16: LAND OF CONFUSION - GENESIS
This video was played non-stop.
5: SHAKE YOU DOWN - GREGORY ABBOTT
Gregory faded away pretty quickly. I found a clip of his follow-up, I Got The Feelin' (It's Over), performed on a Dutch show.
Won't reach the top 40
#41 Freddie Jackson "Tasty Love"
This one is interesting because it peaked at #41. The song is typical Freddie.
(#42 - #56 all reached the top 40!)
Very interesting!
#57 Jesse Johnson & Sly Stone "Crazay"
Stepping out on his own away from the Time.
#72 Grace Jones "I'm Not Perfect"
Too bad Grace wasn't bigger. The video was this song was amazing.
#74 Commodores "Goin' To The Bank"
Fun song, but not top 40 worthy in my opinion.
#75 Stacy Lattisaw "Nail It To The Wall"
She had a few top 40 hits in the early 80s.
#84 Pet Shop Boys "Suburbia"
Great song.
#92 Secret Ties "Dancin' In My Sleep"
@sadchild - I found a little information on them:
Secret Ties | Biography & History | AllMusic
#98 KBC Band "It's Not You, It's Not Me"
I had to look them up.
#99 Midnight Star "Midas Touch"
I used to get them mixed up with Atlantic Starr.
