My son also liked "Shrinking" while he had his free AppleTV preview.
I assume he finished the 2 seasons during his preview time. The 3rd season is in the works, but it'll probably be a while.

We are able to access AppleTV+ through our Amazon Prime Video app (of course we had to pay for it). But there are no other glitches with watching all of those shows, without actually using the Apple app. So we're going to watch all the shows we've missed.

Yes, he finished the 2 seasons.

We have no issues watching AppleTV through our smartTV or our apple devices. If it was free with Prime Video that would be great as we do have Prime Video. It's the extra charge part that is the blocker.

Not 2025 but I just watched it with my wife and son.

Howl's Moving Castle (Disney/Studio Ghibli)

Japanese animated film

My wife and son loved it. But I give it 2/5 stars.

My wife and son talked about how you have to 'fill in the gaps' when elements of the story don't make sense. Then my son answered one of my questions with "because her father was kidnapped".... problem is: it was established at the beginning of the film her father was already dead.

They both laughed at lines that I rolled my eyes at.

We talked about a scene where a door just happens to exist next to the girl that, upon entering, shows her the other main character's backstory. My son said 'you need to work on your suspension of disbelief'. I said there's a difference between 'dogs can't talk but ok' and 'somehow she survived being in a house that just tumbled down a cliff (without a scratch) and when she gets up, there's a door that takes her to the exact scene of the other person's childhood she needed to see'.

Anyway, of the 208 films I've entered into Letterboxd so far, I probably regretted 1/3 of them (like this one) and don't need to see another 1/3 of them ever again.

Try not having any Apple devices or an Apple account, and then you'll have issues. That's why we like having the ability to access through Amazon Prime Video.

We decided several years ago that these threads are for whatever you're watching this year; and not necessarily current year movies. If we each had to dig up the thread for the year of the show we wanted to discuss, that would be a mess.

I had an apple account before I had an Apple device. Used it for iTunes. I don't think there is a cost to it so I don't see why that should be a blocker.

I am saying you can if you wish. You can decide on what you should do.
Perhaps. But having an apple account residing on an android phone or a windows computer, without any connected device or software (we don't use iTunes), is not something I'm interested in trying, just so we can use a streaming service owned by apple.

I doubt google cares. I used it for iTunes before I got my iPhone so I know it would work if it ever gets dropped from Amazon Prime.

We went to see The Naked Gun Saturday night looking forward to a good corny laugh and it did not happen.
I even fell asleep. My wife had to nudge me to wake up. Usually. it is the opposite
It's been getting good reviews, but I thought the trailer made it look fucking terrible.

I will probably still see it once I get back to Toronto. But I am still skeptical that anybody can do Lt. Drumond as good as Leslie Neilson.

We'll wait till it shows up on cable.
Even if it's supposed to be good, I'm just so fed up with rude assholes that it ruins the theater experience.

Any time I hear 'Only in Theaters' my next though is 'I'll wait'.
