I'm interested in F1, which is not a superhero movie. Brad Pitt has occasionally been embedded on the sidelines of races in 2023 and 2024, supposedly to get footage, or educate himself. Yet I don't hold out much hope; every racing movie made kind of sucks. Ron Howard's movie "Rush" got decent reviews, but I didn't like it. And of course "Days of Thunder" was a joke.

The only good racing movie I can think of is the John Frankenheimer directed "Grand Prix", which came out in 1966.

I’ll pretty much watch every decent and better movie that comes out, but yeah, Superhero movies are easily my least favorite category (with exceptions).

I'm interested in seeing the joker sequel movie by Todd Phillips. Also side note, Todd Phillips directed the phish documentary bittersweet motel that came out when I was in high school so it was before he was like really famous I think.

Anyway, everybody talks all about how the joker sequel sucks so I want to see if I agree. They really shouldn't have had a sequel. The first one ended in such a great way. It made you think like was any of it real or was it all in the joker's mind? But I do like Lady Gaga. She's a good actress. Although nowhere near hot enough to be Harley Quinn.

Weird, weird. (You all have seen that cliff right?)

This poor girl. I kind of feel bad for her in a way. She's grown up rich and hot her whole life and in the limelight but she is incredibly bad at talking to any sort of media. All she ever does is alienate people. I mean couldn't they hire people to train her to talk like a football player at a press conference after the game...you basically say nothing.

She was talking about how the love story sucks because it's out of date because it was 1937. What the fuck lady? The overarching point of Snow White is that she has to overcome all these obstacles with the help of the dwarves and then she and the prince fall in love and they live happily ever after. How in the world is that a bad thing isn't that what everybody has ever wanted? A true love.

Also take a look at her tweet after the election.

Also take a look at her tweet about Palestine

Also take a look at her crying tweet that is just so out of touch.

Poor thing. I really do feel bad for her. She's a beautiful girl and she's a talented enough actress. I mean they picked her to be Snow White and she's not white. They must have known that was going to be a big news story so they wouldn't just pick a mediocre actress.

But the girl can't get her foot out of her mouth. This movie very well may have ruined her career.

Looks interesting? The dwarfs are CGI. If we are in a world of political correctness the proper term in now short stature? Either way they are still called dwarfs in books and past films. I would rather see real actors, not CGI. To me some actors, I could see played them by.

Peter Dinklage - Doc
Warwick Davis - Happy
Martin Klebba - Bashful
Danny Devito - Sleepy

Possibly too tall?

Joe Pesci - Grumpy
Seth Green - Sneezy

If Verne Troyer was still alive. I could see him playing as Dopey.

First of all: why did this thread drop-down to page 3? Are we not watching TV and movies this year?

We've been planning to start watching Hacks with Jean Smart on HBO/Max for like a year now, and having finally gotten everything off our plates with Yellowstone and Only Murders etc. being done, we've started with season 1 (of 3) of the award winning comedy series. All I can say is "wow". It's really well written, hilarious, and not afraid to get wild. We're halfway through the first season; we've been watching 2 (short) episodes at a time. Highly recommended.

It's been while since either my son and I have seen a movie we want to see.

The only TV we still watch (aside from sports) is left over from me watching TBBT. I watched the prequel "Young Sheldon" and we have been watching the sequel to the prequel "George & Mandies First Marriage" which has been disappointing but we haven't had the heart to pull the plug yet.

I did see promos for "Shifting Gears", a new Tim Allen sitcom. I watched the pilot and found it to be mildly amusing but seemed kind of forced. I have seen the girl playing his daughter in something before and she is a good actor but the whole concept seems kind of forced. I will give it one more episode to see if I should continue.

2 Broke Girls.

Do you have any of the streaming services like Netflix etc.? Did you ever have HBO or get into shows in the past (other than TBBT)?

I'd ask you what you do instead of watching TV, but I already know you attend a crazy amount of live events, so no need to wonder. And I'm sure you fill-in the extra moments with books and newspapers.
