I'm loving that Daredevil is back on the air again. They are halfway through the season and the new series is alright. Maybe I'm comparing it to the Netflix show. But the new series is supposed to be darker and more violent.
We've been watching this too - I really like it so far. I dig that they're highlighting his law work more than the Netflix version.

And speaking of Marvel stuff...we just finished "Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man" last night, & holy smokes was it great. Just kinda started watching it because we didn't have a current show to watch & I figured "let's give this Spidey cartoon a shot". But it's MUCH better written than you might expect, like the "X-Men '97" reboot. Highly recommended if you think you might like that kinda thing.

The 'poster' on Youtube implies AI, so there's that. Also they have a trailer for The Little Mermaid starring....................Danny Devito! So yeah, hoax!

In real TV show news, The White Lotus wrapped up season 3 last night, and I thought it was another excellent season. Unlike the internet boneheads who pre-decided how it was supposed to end, I enjoyed the surprise of seeing how the show's creator actually decided to end it.

We also got all caught-up with The Lincoln Lawyer, which was very good, and the excellent Hacks, which starts season 4 this week! Hooray!

We started watching the Bondsman with Kevin Bacon.
He's a bondsman back from the dead hunting demons.
We're about 3 in and it's kinda fun so far.

I have decided to take on the monumental and exciting challenge of watching every single South Park episode ever. There's only 327 so I should be able to get that done in like an afternoon or so, right?

Oh shit. I thought that was a movie. I keep getting ads for it on the home screen of my TV. It does look kind of fun.

It's a fun show. It's got the horror thing going, but it's a bit campy and silly.
The episodes are only 30 minutes, so it's easy to get in an episode or two without investing a whole evening.

I'm a huge fan of AI and the potential of AI in the future. How much have I talked about Gemini and how interacting with her is awesome and once she's actually good no one will need Google anymore? She does make a lot of mistakes now, but I imagine that'll be ironed out at some point.

Anyway, I saw this video and then I rewatched The wizard of Oz. I'll talk all about that in a different post. But this video is talking about how they use AI to make The wizard of Oz 16x9 as opposed to its original 4x3.

So the video talks about how AI expands it to fit not only in 16x9 but into the sphere. You know that awesome place in Vegas. The grateful Dead and phish played there a bunch.

That makes me feel uneasy. For the first time that's a use of AI that seems wrong to me.

I know it was 1939 but it was still art and the director of that movie directed it the way he thought was best and if they expand the screen and use AI to fill in the gaps it alters his artistic vision. So like when they pan away from the tin man, you still see him off to the side using AI. That's not how the director wanted it. That seems wrong.

Like why not take a Chagall painting and add 3 in to either side of it? That sounds crazy, right?

This is kind of the same thing.

A nice big advertisement for google.

But if we keep AI occupied with restoring films and stuff, we can delay the robot takeover of the world.

Usually when times are so bad humans can't create their own art, we are involved in lots of fucking wars and shit. So if AI is taking over art, we won't need to worry about a robot uprising. We'll just all kill each other a before that ever happens.
