We just caught up with Hacks, by finishing season 3. I can't recommend it enough; it's brilliantly written, hilarious, and full of surprises.

I watched the pilot last night solely on your suggestion. I had no idea it existed before your post. I like that girl who's her writer or assistant or whatever.

I'm going to keep watching. This is shaping up to be a good show.

I'm loving that Daredevil is back on the air again. They are halfway through the season and the new series is alright. Maybe I'm comparing it to the Netflix show. But the new series is supposed to be darker and more violent.

Season 3, which finished last year, won a bunch of Emmy's this year.

Brought my kid to see “A Minecraft Movie”, which was quite fun actually.

The coming attractions were:
another Superman movie
another Smurfs movie
another Jurassic Park movie

They really know how to beat a dead horse. Fortunately for someone like me, these money makers are what bankrolls the prestige films that studios also make. Still great movies out there, they are just not found at the top of the box office.

Look, I'm not arguing that there are too many reboots and sequels and not enough original IP. I will never argue that with you.

However, you were in the Minecraft movie.... So the target demo is kids just about old enough to see PG-13 shlock that might also slightly appeal to the nostalgia of their dad in the theater with them remembering when that stuff was original and good. And if not quite old enough yet for PG-13....Smurfs.

It's totally understandable why those were your trailers.
