One thing watching Frankenstein. There was one scene when Frank mentioned something like "create another like me" it did remind me of next year’s film The Bride. Which is directed by Maggie Gyllenhaal. It stars Jessie Buckley, Christian Bale, Peter Sarsgaard, Annette Bening, Jake Gyllenhaal, and Penélope Cruz. The film draws inspiration from the 1935 film Bride of Frankenstein.

I didn’t realize the Maggie was directing.
She must have quite a few under her belt, because that looks like it was done by a seasoned director.
It looks good.

I looked it up, this is her second directed film. The other film she directed was the Lost Daughter (2021). I think, I haven't seen that one yet.

She probably had help from her husband Peter Sarsgaard and brother Jake. It does have a good cast including Christian Bale, Annette Bening and Penélope Cruz.

I have mixed feelings about seeing The Running Man.

I really like the one with Arnold Schwarzenneger and Richard Dawson and don't think this one will match that.
From what I can see, this one will actually match the story by Richard Buckanan (aka Stephen King). The one with Arnie (which I really like) only borrowed the disutopian universe from the story. That being said, I don't think the story as written by King is to my liking so I will also likely skip it.

It seems that one definition of a good TV show is that it keeps me up at night, haunting me. I'm at that point with Your Friends and Neighbors. The shit has hit the fan. I have to keep reminding myself that it's just actors.

Edgar Wright ( the movie's director ) was on the Comedy Bang! Bang! podcast this week, & confirmed this version sticks closer to the original story.

I've been wanting to get back to Stranger Things for years now and Season 5 will start Nov 26.
I think I have to start over with Season 1 but I want to watch on my TV not the phone. Same with The Morning Show.
Plus I will want to watch Man on the Inside Season 2 in late November too.

For today's Tuesday special at the Theater, I had to choose between Sydney Sweeney's movie Christy and Emma Stone's movie Begonia. Then my wife said she wanted to go if she could get her work done. So I chose Begonia because it was starting later. And we plant begonia's at our local park flower bed every year. Then my wife said she didn't have time to go so I went alone and I missed probably the first five minutes because I thought the movie was starting at 1:35 instead of 1:25.
The movie was about alien abduction and whether Emma Stone was an alien or a human hunted by Jesse Plemons. He is a good actor I remember from Game Night. It was a good one.

I also picked up another mini poster, this one was for Regretting You. Now I have 3 of these mini posters from this year.

My wife and I were going to play Bingo at the Cinema Bar, but it was incredibly crowded, so we opted to see a movie instead.
The only one available at the time was Sarah's Oil and we found it to be really good. 1910, A young black girl has rights to land in Oklahoma which she believes has oil and the local drilling company is trying to take it from her.

After the movie I picked up another mini poster of Sarah's Oil and a paper coaster with a QR code of the movie I saw yesterday Bugonia.

I just looked up prices on Apple TV for new releases:

One Battle After Another is $19.99 to rent vs $10 that I paid to see in the UltraScreen at the Theater
Good Fortune is $19.99 to rent vs $6 that paid to see at the Tuesday Special at the Theater

I will guess the prices at Amazon are the same. In my case, it is better to drive a half mile to the theater that still looks brand new after 10 years then rent online at home.
