I went to two movies today for the Tuesday special. My wife had city meetings all day so I went alone.

Good Fortune was still showing after three weeks so I went to see it. I really liked it.
Then I went to see Back To The Future 40th Anniversary. Probably sounds silly to go see a movie of a DVD I already own but I still felt like going.
40 years ago the lines were very long to see it. Not today but there was someone there laughing so hard it felt like the theater was full.
I had a good time

Thats one of the movies that would be fun to see on the big screen again. A New Hope and Raiders would be good to see in the theater again too.

I'm still watching Chad Powers on Hulu. Got caught up on the last two episodes this morning.
I'm sure it will finish by the end of the college football regular season

Saw "Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere" tonight. It was ok. The music was good. It covered his "Nebraska" album recordings and life events around that time. There were plenty of flashbacks this was a bit disruptive to the story line. It also covered a lot of "Born In The USA" which evolved from tracks shelved from "Nebraska". I found it interesting but not overly engrossing. My son thought it was boring.

The latest episode of The Morning Show was pretty crazy and intense. It's like they threw all their storylines into one episode.
My wife was watching that while I was cleaning the house. I tried to not pay attention because I want to have a chance to catch up, especially when Jennifer (Alex) was arguing with her father

Yes, that was one of 2 storylines involving parents. And Jeremy Irons is a great choice for the role of her father.

I thought there would be more episodes of Match Game 2025 but there hasn't been a new one since Episode 8 the beginning of September.

They had Martin Short as host and Selena Gomez was in two episodes so I would have thought it would be decent in the ratings

The most recent episode of Match Game has celebrities including the police investigation woman and Mabel's old friend the singer.

Not really. I don't mind if movies have some beefcake for the Mrs. After all, most movies cater to guys when it comes to sexy stuff and T&A.

They did an OK job drawing you in and building some tension with a couple of overused cliches, but they didn't know what to do with them. Without giving up too many spoilers, the ending was a bullshit cop-out. I wouldn't have expected so many established actors to have signed on to do it,

Agreed, not sure why they green-lit the movie with that ending, or lack of a better ending.

Just watched Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein on Netflix. It was alright. Definitely had that classic del Toro atmosphere and some great actors doing solid work, but it dragged a bit and didn’t hit as hard as his best stuff. The visuals were cool and moody, but overall it felt a bit too long and not quite the same quality as Pan’s Labyrinth or The Shape of Water. Still worth a watch if you’re into gothic vibes or del Toro’s style just don’t expect his best masterpiece this time

I thought it was mostly fantastic. At worst it dragged a tad, but the visuals, acting, and storytelling were on point. I went into it wondering what he was going to give us that prior films versions of Frankenstein did not, then when it went into part 2, the creature’s story, the film hit its stride.

Other recent movies-

The Gorge - liked this one more than I expected to, good mix of genres. I really like sci-fi.

28 Years Later - maybe not as good as the first in the series but still solid

The Lost Bus - this one really puts you right in the action of a forest fire.

Materialists - as much Rom-drama as Rom-com, but better than normal for that kind of movie
